Meet Stanley, the D-Day veteran who just celebrated his 105th birthday! 🎉 Born one of eight children on a farm near Headcorn, Stanley Robert Elliss originally had an art scholarship lined up. Instead, he answered the call of duty and joined the RAF - eventually landing on Gold Beach on D-Day to help secure crucial airstrips for Allied Spitfires. Now a decorated Legion d’Honneur recipient and Burma Star veteran, he marked this incredible 105-year milestone on October 22, surrounded by loved ones at Brambles Care Home in Wye.
