Big thanks to @iwfeatures for sharing my story. Grateful for the chance to speak up for freedom and against the Cuban totalitarian regime, debunking the lies around their socialist policies one by one. Link to my story in comments: #CubaLibre #SocialismFails

Fidel Castro wooed and married the most beautiful, richest girl at Uni Havana: Mirta Diaz-Balart (aunt of the Florida congressmen). The family thought she’d married beneath her station because Castro’s father was well-off, but a country bumpkin married to his maid. While the Diaz-Balarts were much more wealthy and very cosmopolitan with apts & siblings in Paris, visiting London (Waldo Diaz-Balart, whose paintings are at Moma, hung out with Picasso crowd, etc). The Diaz-Balarts treated Castro as another average member of the family at Sunday luncheons, when he was used to being the pampered child, orating to his cleaning lady mom & country dad over meals. He hated not being the center of attention, nor as rich nor as cosmopolitan as the Diaz-Balarts. And as with all communists, envy propelled him towards revolution. He kicked out the whole Diaz Balart family, kept their homes, their art, their jewels and their grandson, Mirta’s only child. All out of envy, greed, hatred of his own inferiority, his lack of cosmopolitanism (had never even traveled, spoke no foreign languages, hick parents). Enviousness & a sense of entitlement caused Castro to murder, plunder, rob and leave his son without a mother.

Socialists hold a particular disdain for women who stand up against them. It makes them angry because the “weaker sex” should always be dependent, fearful, and grateful for any hand-me-downs, which should lead them right into their hands. They count on the female vote. They NEED the female vote. And despite selling themselves as pro-female liberation and equality, the truth is that with strong, intelligent women voting accordingly, they wouldn’t exist. I can imagine Cuba isn’t very happy with Trinidad and Tobago’s PM. More like her.
THE UNC SUPPORTS THE CUBAN PEOPLE, WE DO NOT SUPPORT A MILITARY DICTATORSHIP. THE CUBAN PEOPLE DESERVE DEMOCRACY Trinidad and Tobago's decision to vote against the United Nations resolution on Cuba reflects the Government's firm and unwavering commitment to democracy, freedom and the fundamental rights of all people. I have made it clear publicly that Trinidad and Tobago will not support military dictatorship in Cuba. The United States Government has been spearheading a campaign for democracy in Cuba. Secretary of State Marco Rubio @SecRubio of Cuban heritage is right, for Cuba to prosper, there must be political reforms and the democratic rights and freedoms of the Cuban people must be restored. We cannot demand democracy, free and fair elections, freedom of expression and political rights for ourselves while remaining silent when those same freedoms are denied to the Cuban people. Why should citizens of CARICOM nations enjoy the right to freely elect and change their governments while the Cuban people are denied that same democratic choice? Our position is against military dictatorship and supportive of the Cuban peoples rights to democratically elect a government of their choice. The Government of the Republic of Trinidad and Tobago empathise with their suffering and hardship. However for years the argument of compassion for the Cuban people has been manipulated to support a military totalitarian political system that denies them fundamental democratic freedoms. While the Cuban people suffer, the leaders of the Cuban regime and their families live in luxury. The exploitation of ordinary Cubans to support the lavish lives of those associated with the ruling regime has to end. We respect the sovereign right of other nations to determine their foreign policy, and we expect that same respect in return. Those persons in Trinidad and Tobago who support dictatorship in Cuba would never support it in our own country. There is nothing romantic or idealistic about dictatorship masked as a revolutionary struggle for freedom. The Government of Trinidad and Tobago stands for democracy, freedom, human dignity and the right of every citizen, including the people of Cuba, to freely determine their political future. The United National Congress commends all nations who stand in solidarity with the wonderful people of Cuba.

Bonding over shared socialist trauma will connect you in ways that are hard to explain to an outsider. I’m Cuban and my husband is Venezuelan, so I should know. Yes to all international anticommunist alliances.
𝕏 has become a free dating app for Iranians and Venezuelans. This is the first time I’m seeing such a thing on my timeline. We have more in common than we thought. 🇮🇷❤️🇻🇪

If you’re a right-wing politician in Latin America, your options are pretty much victory (rare), death, prison, or exile, at least while the tides continue to turn.

Communists in Cuba celebrating that a communist “won” the rigged elections in Brazil. Mind you, they have no water, electricity or even elections themselves. 🤡🤡
Celebrando elecciones democráticas de otros países cuando en el tuyo hay una dictadura. 🤡 Están en apagón. Mañana es lunes. Ninguno trabaja. @ElNecio_Cuba

So let me get this straight: Brazil has a judiciary JUST for elections. They decided against extending the hours. Then a judge who was Lula's personal attorney issues an order to extend the hours solely in areas favorable to Lula. Am I getting this right?
According @malugaspar — not exactly considered a Flavio supporter — all the judges of the TSE oppposed granting the extension that Lula’s former campaign lawyer now turned STF justice @Cristianozaninm ordered. It’s Lula’s lawyer, sitting as judge in a court with no jurisdiction, ordering the polls remain open when all judges in the electoral court opposed it. This has to have consequences Lula is going to destroy the rule of law in Brazil on his way out.

One side is the “far-right”, the other one is just the “left”. The media is desperate to overturn the conservative wave sweeping through Latin American politics. For that, they need you to believe extremism is coming and your only hope is to vote socialist. Do not fall for it. Stay the course, Brazil 🇧🇷

I had the privilege of seeing @FlavioBolsonaro at CPAC this year. Go vote for him tomorrow, Brazil. Break the socialist curse.

I grew up watching Brazilian TV and still follow a host of Brazilian actors. My timeline is currently flooded with their videos supporting Lula in the upcoming election (and actors from around the world joining in support, of course). The hypocrisy of some of the wealthiest people in a country supporting a corrupt socialist while living abroad in their mansions, with their millions, is astonishing. The curse of the arts community is progressivism. Sigh.

I personally know a few women who’ve chosen not to have children because the world would be too dark and damaged for them. They believe they’re doing something noble by stopping themselves from having a family and preventing children from being raised in a loving home, because of the what-ifs. It’s almost as if humans weren’t meant to keep up with everything that’s happening in the entire world at all times. This level of hyperawareness is literally leading us to extinction. Step back, turn your phone off, go outside. Have the kids.
Are we actually living through the most chaotic era in human history, or are we just the first generation with social media forced to watch every tragedy on earth unfold in real time, and the world has always been this dark, we were just never close enough to see it?

Children do not belong to the state. They aren’t yours. Not your responsibility (unless absent parents/caregivers), your trophies, or your social experiments. Implying that children are “ours” in any capacity promotes the collectivist mentality that is used to justify taking children away from their parents when those parents refuse to comply with the state. Children are their parents’ responsibility. Take less from parents so they can better provide for their children.
“James Baldwin said that the children are always ours, every single one of them. He was right,” Mayor Brandon Johnson said. “He also said that he was beginning to suspect that whoever is incapable of recognizing that may be incapable of morality.” chicagotribune.com/2026/10/2…

All you can hope for when you get married is that the husband you choose will react like this to protect his daughter in such a situation. Legend.
Look at how he covers his daughter. Fucking legend.

Most problems, as @nayibbukele and the city of Caracas have shown, are not in fact "complex," "multi-faceted," "impossible to solve." You stop riots and crime by jailing and killing criminals and rioters. The ENTIRE barrier to this, in the West, is leftist or generally-fringe citizens who passionately defend the criminals and rioters.

Students supported Mao Students supported Castro Students supported Khomeini Students supported Hitler Students supported Mussolini If find yourself blindly supporting every student lead movement, you’ll be wrong very often, in many eras, on many issues.
A good rule of history: if you find yourself opposing a student movement while siding with the ruling class, you're wrong. Every time, in every era, whatever the issue.
Readers added context they thought people might want to know
Student movements have not always been on the right side of history. Mao's student Red Guards persecuted hundreds of thousands. Students helped Castro and Khomeini rise to power, and Nazi student groups opposed the Weimar Republic. britannica.com/topic/Red-Guar… encyclopedia.ushmm.org/content/en/art… aei.org/education/actu…
