@NWSTucson I’m surprised I haven’t seen any severe storm of flash flood warnings yet. It’s been pouring on the East side and foothills for about 30 min and the roads were getting a bit nuts! And it doesn’t look like it’s going to let up anytime soon

This video is INCREDIBLE! Seeing the clouds forming and downpour/outflow head to the camera is really wild!

I can confirm this 100%. I’ve been getting in our ~50°F pool every morning, and I feel great for hours after. It’s always mentally challenging, but the benefits are real. I’m dreading the warm season in the desert when cold water doesn’t exist without ice or expensive equipment.
The psychological impact of deliberate cold exposure protocols such as cold plunges and showers are undeniable, both for those that do them and love them (and/or the feeling afterwards) and for those that loathe and/or fear them and avoid them altogether.

RIP Tweetbot 😢 I had mostly let go of Twitter except for scrolling through for the past couple years, so recent events haven’t been much more than a mild curiosity to watch. But somehow the end of Tweetbot has me feeling all nostalgic for the good old days (2010-2015ish).
Say Goodbye to Tweetbot. We've been proud to serve you over the last 12+ years, but due to circumstances beyond our control, we have to shut down Tweetbot. Thank you so much for your patience and outpouring of support over these tough times at Tapbots. tapbots.com/tweetbot/

That is just fun to watch. And if you understand what they are doing to make it happen…a little bit🤯

The desert is funny, like when it looks like it’s going to rain in the summer I think “yep, should probably fire up the grill” Because even when it looks like it’s going to rain, more than half the time it horas around us or the storm just evaporates away, and I want to tempt it.

🔋THREAD🔌 The inconvenient truth about climate change is that solving it will involve digging, blasting & leaching more minerals from the skin of this planet than ever before. No one much likes to talk abt this. But talk about it we must. ⛏👇

Thanks I hate it
🌡️🥵We have hit 111 (so far) today making it the first day of 110+ this year for Tucson. This doesn't touch the daily record which is 114 degrees set just last year in 2021 but there is still time. #AZwx

But I am super thankful to have good AC, an indoor job, a pool, a treadmill to run on when it's murder hot, etc.
