📊🙌 Really proud of our work at the election. We are a relatively small agency and political work makes up a relatively small fraction of our overall social research portfolio. So to be ranked 6th of 17 is a a great result for the team who have spent much time on their methodology since 2019 making refinements. Clearly like almost everyone we need to work out why Labour share was a bit high - we already have some theories as to why but that discussion can wait for another day! Congrats to others including @NorstatUKPolls @VerianGroup and @JLPartnersPolls!

I always wondered what a population density spike map + political map would look like so I had a go at it (in new version of #aerialod) and my verdict is: slightly mad, but quite interesting

NEW: Polling for for the @theipaper may give hope for the Conservative Party? Big Labour lead BUT … 👉 On who is best to handle the economy, voters tended to back Sunak rather than Starmer. 👉 Sunak also leads on seeking tax rates and supporting UK businesses

Seen a few tweets about a "debate on public sector pay", but based on our results and the wider cost of living context, it doesn't seem to be much of a debate in the eyes of the public
Replying to @BMGResearch
It is not simply Labour or other left-leaning voters driving this. By a margin of almost two to one, those who backed the Conservative Party in 2019 believe public sector workers are paid too little rather than too much.

***NEW POLLING*** Neck and neck among the wider public ... but Truss is a clear favourite among 2019 Conservative voters and those who voted to leave the EU. Read more in @theipaper: shorturl.at/dFNT8

Some interesting findings from our poll in @theipaper over the long weekend. It'll be interesting to see how these figures change if, as expected, more fines are issued
Great to start out new relationship with @theipaper with an exclsuive new poll. Most Britons want the PM and Chancellor to resign over #Partygatefines - but do fewer say the pair should walk than one might expect?

An interesting insight from our @BMGResearch poll in The Herald - A third of Labour voters trust The Greens over Labour on the environment. Worrying for Labour given the increasing importance of it in voters minds heraldscotland.com/politics/…

Big relief to hear Priti Patel on the radio explaining that Britain is at the forefront of Global Britain. Imagine how embarrassing it would be if somewhere else was. France, maybe. Awful.

YouGov's (actual real) polls reckon 80% of the public support lockdown — if you want to know where the mood in the govt is now, one senior Tory half-joked the other day that "lockdown is the most popular Tory policy ever"
FINAL RESULTS: Some 80% of 15.4K polled want to end the COVID lockdown now That's almost the direct opposite of the government/@YouGov polls So what's the truth? 🤔

Who do MPs think deserve a #bailout? The latest wave of Populus #parliamentary #research shows widespread support among MPs for financial assistance for pubs, restaurants, hotels, rail companies and airlines. But not banks | bit.ly/3fkxKTj #MP #panel #research
It is not uncommon to find #MP parties split on major issues of the day. Despite this, MPs from all parties unite on one point: that the UK should impose economic sanctions on China if ‘wet markets’ are confirmed as the most likely source of #COVID-19 | bit.ly/33e7dVi
Isn't it funny how things come together sometimes. Great timing on the RT @MichaelPDeacon!
