I'm excited to announce that we're joining OpenAI’s Codex team! When we started out, Xcode had no AI. Building a "Cursor for Xcode" sounded crazy, but we managed to do it anyway. And, over time, we built the best coding agent for iOS & MacOS apps. I'm extremely proud of what we accomplished with @alexcodes_ai. Seeing people build software with our work was surreal. It is an honor to continue that work at a much bigger scale at OpenAI, along with the incredibly talented Codex team. Our mission is to help people create, and today that is more possible than ever. I'm so tired (no pun intended) of not sleeping well. So I decided to start fixing it. I see @bryan_johnson and @hubermanlab and others talk and share protocols on sleep, but rarely any work for me. After the WWDC 2025 keynote, I turned bullish on @alexcodes_ai again, and the latest release shows it is moving in the right direction. It has both the features of Claude Code I love and hopefully more on the way

Also in the latest story: Apple weeks ago abruptly killed plans to develop in-house coding models which powered Swift Assist announced last year. Xcode can now tap into ChatGPT or Anthropic’s Claude, as was announced at WWDC. Apple uses Claude for coding internally.
