This is what passes for journalism in Germany what with their journalistic codes and all. Great job everybody! 👏🏼 No notes.
Gegen Steffen Krach, Landesvorsitzender der Berliner #SPD, wird mit anderen Beschuldigten wegen Korruption ermittelt. Womöglich also #OrganisierteKriminalität. Die WELT interviewt ihn zum Thema. Aber nur, um auf Die Linke einzudreschen.

We should take things that work in one EU country and then roll it out across the entire union. The country that made it work gets the resources and can run the agency that directs it.
Europe’s best ideas need room to grow. Discussed how to make that happen with @EZaharievaEU at #TDS2026. Estonia leads the EU in startups and unicorns per capita. Our digital government makes doing business easier. A company can be set up online in 30 minutes. To help more companies succeed globally, Europe needs a stronger Single Market, simpler rules and better access to capital.

Thanks to LLMs we'll be able to revive every analogue technology but better. I'm back to handwriting (just bought a Hobonichi) and not being able to annotate was really one of the main reasons why I switched to reading digitally.
We raised $1M dollars to reinvent how people read. Introducing Mark II - a $159 AI bookmark. Thread below

Easy for me to talk as a manager, but yes bad managers always were lost. What is happening now is that the tide is going out and we're seeing who was swimming naked.
Replying to @GergelyOrosz
To add all to this: managers are more lost than ever before. Devs who are upset at managers not giving them guidance at all, or frustrated with silly guidance ("use AI for everything, we now have a token leaderboard") also have no awareness or empathy that a good part of management has as little clue as they do!

These guys promised a hardcore fascism and in the end this is all they could muster.
Listen closely to how Trump talks about Vance.

This describes the SPD but also more or less every governing party in Germany who insist "it wasn't me". For instance, the FDP was in government and removed no bureaucracy but then ran again on the promise that they would "remove bureaucracy". Zero credibility all around.
Holy shit! I 'd like to report a murder.

I vibe coded a tool for myself (stream based markdown note taker) and I can barely get myself to adopt it and commit to using it, let alone that I could persuade anybody else to do so.

The best way to demonstrate value at the moment is to write something and make it ostentatively *not* be LLM generated. Add typos, weird phrases, whatever is required.

I love LLMs because now I can go back to writing in long hand and doing my daily plans on paper and upload the picture and have it reconcile it with my Obsidian daily note and tasks. I'll write up the entire flow once I have some stuff documented that I can share.

I wrote a blog post with a fountain pen in a cafe yesterday evening. Scanned it this morning and edited it on my laptop.

This is because German politics still hasn't recovered from collapsing into a single issue. (This is entirely a sickness of the political elites, the German people don't have such a problem.)
Wenn man in Deutschland Leute wie Ossof, Talarico und selbst El Sayed für linksradikale hält, steht man selbst wahrscheinlich irgendwo zwischen Weidel und Reichsflagge

This is good but also it's a rephrasing of the four noble truths of Buddhism.
Tom Hiddleston says happiness is overrated and spending your life chasing it can actually make you unhappy "Happiness is overrated. Meaning is underrated. Happiness is like a sunrise or a sunset. Bear with me" "You're there. It's lovely. You're present with it. The sun's rising or the sun is setting. It's perfect. After 15 minutes, the moment is over and it's gone. Trying to sustain it is impossible because it's over" "And a life spent chasing the permanence of that feeling will make you unhappy because you can't hold on to it. The moment you try to hold on to it, it slips through your fingers and is lost" "Meaning is a structure that only you create in your own life, an architecture with your own particular spiritual fingerprint, whereby if you're going through a hard time, if you're going through challenge, struggle, obstacles, suffering or pain, only you know why you're going through it" "You might know, this is hard now. I'm doing it for my kids. I'm doing it for my mom. I'm doing it for my future" "And then it makes enduring the hard times bearable because you know what it means" "And meaning - this is the take - meaning yields joy. Joy is deeper than happiness"

This is the logical endpoint of the unhinged political and media culture of Germany. The only way out is through.
Es ist etwas fundamental kaputt gegangen in Deutschland, dass eine solche Kampagne, wie die gegen die Berliner Linke hier seit sechs Wochen möglich ist. Das ist maßlos.

America is an alien world. By coincidence we speak English so we feel a manufactured affinity to them, but it is bizarro and entirely incomprehensible.
here's the entirety of the seeming mental breakdown Haley Stevens just had on CNN. One of the most bizarre and incoherent political interviews I can recall. Note how she's completely unable to explain why she changed her mind from supporting Abdul El-Sayed last night to endorsing Mike Rogers today.

You can go one further and add that a lot of the left has never really done anything. Most of the prominent people are academics who read some 19th century books. There are very few people from the working class or from any profession with tangible results in there.
This explains a lot. Much of the left’s AI commentary comes from people - like Naomi Klein here - who have barely used the tools, then tell millions of readers it’s all hype.

The problem in Germany is that there is a huge quality and quantity gap of people willing to go hard and eat shit. The only person who comes to mind is @TiloJung. Similar to @debroervanroos in the Netherlands.
Mehdi Hasan has TWO WORDS for all the Abdul HATERS: “CRY MORE!—I just wanted to get that off my chest because I’ve been F*CKED OFF with these people for so long!”

Are the potholes in the UK worse than the potholes in Germany?
Absolutely brutal from a BYD spokesman on designing cars for European conditions.

This is like 90% of the people who post about their software factory or publish some limited use case library that is and will remain dead.
There’s 100% a kind of mania you can get into with coding agents, where it feels like you’re getting a lot done and working all the time but nothing is really happening. I think it's often a form of avoidance of something else in life.
