I don’t know where to begin to explain where I’ve been for the last year + a half. I’ve been approved for #MAID after a nightmare of medical malpractice/negligence + severe medication/iatrogenic injuries. I don’t want to die, but can’t live like this or get adequate medical care.

Watching hardcore BCNDP supporters blame everyone except the megalomaniac who did this is a trip.
The NDP is getting TROUNCED already. If this holds, strategic votes for NDP didn’t matter. Green votes didn’t matter. So many ridings are leading Conservative = a ton of NDP voters went Conservative, and the NDP + Greens both had little chance. Damn. Eby fucked up SO BAD.

You want them? You offer them an incentive beyond fearmongering.
You could have courted them all along with good policy. And lost that condescension to Emily Lowan.
People might think I'm idealistic voting for @Emily_Lowan + the @BCGreens but it's the same idealism that had me voting for @seanorr two by/elections ago, when he first ran under the Vancouver Socialist party + lost. And look where we are today!

Racism in nursing doesn’t always look like a slur. Sometimes it’s the “forgotten” pain medication. The ignored concern. The assumption that a Black patient is exaggerating their pain. These things may look small individually, but they can have very real consequences. If you are a nurse or want to become a nurse, you have a responsibility to confront racism.

MDs in BC will tell you they’ve had patients with undefined cancers who have had MAID while waiting for MRIs. The wait is that long.
Have previously reported on median wait times for CT and MRI across BC... see healthdatabc.ca/wait/imaging…
Got more detailed data including 90th percentile wait times, % within benchmark, and scan volumes. Just started putting it altogether, but here's a taste (CT, Island Health).
Light blue is the median waits. Darker is the 90th percentile waits. At the end of each bar is % within benchmark and scan volume. Red line is the benchmark.

SSA-neg patients have worse QOL & function on average than SSA +. We have more SFN, Dysautonomia, cognitive dysfunction, and severe headaches. Also more G.I. and joint involvement. It is not a “mild“ version of the disease.
