– at Cilandak, Indonesia

Every three years the OECD, a club of mostly rich countries, releases the results of international school tests sat by 15-year-olds all across the world. Anyone who cares about the young of today should be alarmed at this year’s scores bit.ly/4zXPj6g

Dear followers, I’m delighted to share this article which is finally forthcoming. We show that business school education is associated with managers paying lower wages, holding the labor share down and not sharing, revenues and profits with workers.

As AI becomes better at mimicking human thought, it becomes easier to hand over parts of our thinking without fully realizing it. The tools can also lead to a false sense of intellectual rigor when they lavish praise on any prompt. In Marc Zao-Sanders latest analysis of 12,637 real-world AI use cases, he found that at least a quarter of the top uses involved asking AI to do some portion of the user’s thinking, from relationship advice and decision-making to drafting emails and generating ideas. He also found that when used as an intellectual foil—to challenge assumptions, broaden horizons, consider counterarguments—AI can sharpen people’s thinking. What AI use cases help or hurt a leader's expertise? And where do organizations still need to prioritize human intelligence? Read “How People Are Really Using AI in 2026”: s.hbr.org/4iEgNaQ

Tales of China’s demise and China +1 etc. are indeed exaggerated. This book will puncture that narrative. India still has lots of catching up to do.
