I assume when the admin claims the Gulf countries will fund the $300 billion Iran reparations fund, this will then then be followed by the US providing those countries with $300 billion in largely unrestricted aid.

Trump is laser focused on the key issues a week from election day
Lots to unpack here but Trump says Bill Maher is an unfunny loser pothead/drunk and the recent dinner was a waste of time. TRUMP: Let's talk about this COMPLETE AND TOTAL LOSER, Bill Maher. When I became President, I agreed to meet, after the first one, and the last one, but never agreed to do his show, which he wants me to do, DESPARATELY I believe he lied to me when I asked him, with all the applause and laughter he gets after almost everything he says, about thing that aren't funny or even any good, what Laughter Machine does he use? People can't think he's funny. Bill was very nervous. He asked for a drink. He was very insecure, and he had a seriously bruised eye and nose area, as though somebody had just beaten him up — But it wasn't me! No sooner had we had that first dinner at the White House, which is a very seductive and beautiful place, especially now that I have fully renovated and fixed it in the style which it deserves, Bill wanted to come back. Also, I wanted to tell Bill that he's a major POTHEAD. He's got to stop, it's very bad for his health. He looked like hell this time. Bill was drunk and had alcohol in his hand as he walked through the White House. Stephen A. Smith and Kid Rock came along with him. I learned nothing, and felt it was a waste of time. After the first dinner, Bill Maher was friendly, I guess, everyone walked away pleased. After the second dinner, Bill's "show" was far worse than the first. He went crazy! He's gutless, because he enjoyed every minute. Also, I am not a building a swimming pool in the White House Briefing Room, and never had any intention of doing so.

Growing up, it was always a special treat to go to the Rainforest Cafe. That's why I think the White House should have more fake plants, water features, fog machines and animatronic animals.

On the same day, Trump gave a rally where he said he doesn’t care that people are paying more for gas because oil company profits are up. Weird how someone so concerned with inflation chose this to comment on instead.
Way to go, Obama, turning off voters away from Democrats with classist rhetoric. Inflation is high. The people do not care the interior decorating is tacky, and most the people like the Cheesecake Factory anyways!

Is the implication that Cash for Clunkers somehow had a 10 year delay in how it affected the market or are you just dumb?
Barack Obama was horrible in a million different ways, but he doesn’t get anywhere near the hate he deserves for destroying the used car market for an entire generation. 15-year-old cars with 150,000 miles that should be selling for $3,000 are going for $15,000. It’s abominable. Pure destruction and thievery.

The biggest problem with Cash for Clunkers was that it only required the car "operate under its own power" so a lot of it just went to buying back nearly worthless cars with transmission problems or blown head gaskets.

Exactly, the Trump family can't afford things like a private chef or a Martha's Vineyard estate. That's why they had to get a Russian oligarch to pay for Don Jr's wedding in the Bahamas, like normal people do.
Classic Obama snobbery. Cheesecake Factory is a great option for people who can’t afford a private chef at their Martha’s Vineyard estate.

Republicans are so desperately trying to make this stick like another "Dijon mustard" moment but it doesn't work so well when the current GOP president is bragging about how he cares more about oil company profits than gas prices.
99.9% of the U.S. would consider The Cheesecake Factory to be high class dining. Only an elitist like Barack Obama would invoke the Factory— home of delicious cuisine— to ridicule someone.

Okay but this is actually happening in this war, except it's the Russians doing it to North Koreans and central Asians.
If you’re a liberal (or, God forbid, leftist) who “stands with Ukraine,” please read this article 👇 and then ask yourself one question: all else being equal, would you feel any differently about what’s going on here if the men being pulled off the street and forced to die for a cause they don’t believe in were American and not Ukrainian? Don’t default to “it’s part of war.” That’s morally bankrupt thinking. You can’t justify things by pointing to how normal they are; that’s how every evil thing in history has been justified (and, anyway, what Ukraine is doing is not normal). Really think about it. Wouldn’t it turn your stomach a little more if the conscripts were being forcefully extracted from neighborhoods in Chicago and Los Angeles and Houston, not Kyiv and Dnipro and Odesa? And if the answer is that it would, is there any explanation for that other than an absence of empathy for the very people you claim to be “standing with”?

Same with wet packed scallops. You'll never be able to get enough water out for a good sear. They're cheaper per lb because you're paying for extra water.
Great Value frozen shrimp has 3 ingredients. Shrimp, salt and sodium tripolyphosphate. Sodium tripolyphosphate is a phosphate salt. The shrimp get soaked in a tank of it before they're frozen, and the phosphate loosens the muscle proteins, so they hold on to water. The shrimp come out of the tank heavier than they went in, and the bag is sold by weight, so part of what you pay for is tank water. It also keeps them from drying out in the freezer. Soaked shrimp sit in a puddle, steam instead of sear, and feel slick and a little rubbery. Untreated shrimp brown in the pan. Costco's Kirkland raw shrimp says no chemicals added and no preservatives on the bag. The FDA allows the phosphate, so the check is the ingredient list on the back of the bag, under the net weight.

"People don’t believe polls but prediction markets create more certainty" This is just absolutely not true. Please talk to a person who is not extremely online. The average person barely knows what a prediction market is and most of the ones who do think they're just gambling.
The Dems are flooding prediction markets with bad bets to shift perceptions of reality. It only would cost $200,000 to change Talarico’s odds from 50 to 67% That’s a fraction of the 114 million spent on Talaricos campaign and more effective than road signs. People don’t believe polls but prediction markets create more certainty, because who would throw away money right? The best we can do is make their marketing stunt as expensive as possible by placing more bets on Paxton and collecting. Once election results hit the odds will be revealed to have been way off base and the Dems will use it as a call to regulate prediction markets.

The recent fake poll company news shows this isn't true because a fake poll company can actually turn a profit by just doing fraud and charging for fake polls. xitter.cf/LudwigNverMises/status…

It would cost less to manipulate prediction markets than it would to run a polling company.

This was maybe true in Marx's time. But now almost everyone has easy access to labor-amplifying equipment (computers, cars, etc). The average person now is like 20x more productive than someone in 1850.
You get rich through landlordism, inheritance, or wage theft. There is no ethical wealth hoarding. Nobody gets rich from their own labor.

Trump threatening more strikes against Iran right before election day to send oil prices skyrocketing is just absolutely insane strategy.
Brent oil futures have risen 3.5% today to hit $117 a barrel, now up 15% so far this month on regional fighting and fears of renewed conflict with Iran. Nearing the high-water mark of $126 set during late April.

ohio republicans' closing pitch is to mock child rape survivors and that john husted has a nice ass (he doesn't) .... if they win then i genuinely think a foreign power should invade and liberate the state of Ohio
