U.S. House Democrats cleaned up and won all 227 seats that were less Republican than Trump+9. They also won 30 of 66 seats in the Trump+9 to Trump+18 range, extending deep into the mass of gerrymandered seats.
And I’m not sure how to deal with it, although some equivalent of this is sorely needed. In baseball, where WAR originated, we have numerous individual opponents that provide a robust estimate of how skilled a particular player is.
