DOG FOOD Recipe (Per request…I will post the SLOP BOWL Recipe in a little bit as well) Ingredients - Ground Beef 96/4 or 93/7 or 85/15 (I always use whichever will best fit my calories/macros for the week) - 1 packet Old El Paso taco seasoning per every 1-2 lbs - Splash of water (2-3 tbsp) - Splash of olive oil - Salt & pepper - White jasmine or basmati rice (4-8 cups uncooked depending on your meal prep needs) - Water (follow your rice cooker’s ratio — usually 1:1 or 1:1.25 for jasmine, 1:1.5 for basmati) - Optional: pinch of salt Equipment - Large nonstick pan - Wooden spoon or spatula - Rice cooker - Strainer (for rinsing rice) Instructions Ground Beef 1) Preheat your pan over medium-high heat for about 1 minute — you want the oil hot and shimmering but not smoking 2) Add a splash of olive oil and swirl it around to coat the surface evenly 3) Add the ground beef to the pan — it should sizzle slightly on contact 4) Break it up immediately with your spoon or spatula into small crumbles 5) Season lightly with salt and pepper as it cooks 6) Cook for 5-7 minutes, stirring occasionally, until the beef is mostly browned and no pink remains 7) Add the taco seasoning and stir well to coat the beef evenly 8) Add a splash of water (2-3 tbsp) if the mixture looks dry — this helps the seasoning blend in and coat the meat 9) Cook for another 1-2 minutes — stirring constantly until the beef is fully coated and the liquid has mostly evaporated 10) Taste and adjust with extra salt or pepper if needed 11) Turn off the heat and let the beef rest in the pan for 1 minute White Rice 1) Measure your rice (4-8 cups uncooked depending on how much you want) 2) Rinse the rice thoroughly in a strainer until the water runs mostly clear 3) Add the rinsed rice to your rice cooker 4) Add water according to the rice cooker’s instructions (typically 1:1 for jasmine or 1:1.25-1.5 for basmati) 5) Add a pinch of salt if desired 6) Close the lid and start the rice cooker — it will handle everything for you 7) Once the cooker clicks to “warm”…let the rice sit for 5–10 minutes to steam and finish fully 8) Fluff with a fork and portion into containers for meal prep OR serve immediately alongside your Ground Beef ENJOY
