If the world is getting a little too much may I recommend the inexplicably obsolete word ‘latibulating’, from the 17th century? To latibulate is to find a cosy corner somewhere and hide in it.

Just as @bbcradio4 and @BBCFarmingToday celebrate 75 years of #TheArchers and reflect on future of agriculture, BBC says it'll stop making Archers in Birmingham. Brum's been home of Archers since 1951, this is another mad decision which must be reversed. birminghammail.co.uk/whats-o…

The most famous ex-pupil from my old school is Julie Walters. Another pupil, Avis Willington, swam for Britain at the 1972 Olympics, which was quite an achievement for a girl from an economically deprived area of the West Midlands.

Rush hour, but make it Dolly. 🤠🎻 The brilliant @TheCBSO brought a little Tennessee to Birmingham New Street with a surprise performance of 9 to 5. Even Ozzy the Bull woke up for it. ❤️

The Jeremy Vine show isn't there to raise sensible debate, yes it may be dressed up that way but like so many of todays programs, it's purpose is to stoke outrage, hate and sow division across society for precious clicks and viewing figures. It's human baiting trash.

I strongly suspect Vine & his family have always been able to afford private healthcare/education. Fair enough but I’d have a bit more time for him if he acknowledged the privileges he’s had that most of us haven’t.

Love this. The changing room where I go swimming has a locker devoted to book exchanges. Picked up quite a few books there from someone who likes the same authors as me.
