Ernie is getting his flowers from the NBA community, and rightfully so, but I’m here to give him props for some Nats playoff calls over the years🫡 NLDS on TBS legend

Stoked to announce that Wright Thompson and I are teaching a class at @mujschool this spring, an intensive magazine writing workshop for a select number of students. We’ll study and/or speak to some of the greatest-evers, from Tom Junod to Michael Lewis and JR Moehringer to Gay Talese and Taffy Brodesser-Akner and a lot more — as much ego as a Zoom can handle. Applications are due Friday to John Anderson and Mark Horvit.

I’m firmly in the camp if you have to stay awake for 36 hours before kickoff so you don’t die from a blood clot you should probably skip playing that game.

Following the reaction on here to this article, Northwestern coach David Braun sent a note to Josie in support:
Braun wrote: “For the record.... I really liked your article! It was candid and your personal perspective. I'm glad you experienced the thrill of team spirit and did it with friends and community. When done right - this is what makes college football so special! Ignore the social media trolls and enjoy your Fall Quarter!
I hope you decide to learn the Fight Song and we look forward to having you at more games in the future. Go 'Cats!!”
In Opinion:
“Standing in Ryan Field this weekend, even as a fiercely anti-football anti-sports-team person, I have to admit I did feel kind of proud to go to Northwestern,” writes Assistant Opinion Editor Josie Belfer. dailynorthwestern.com/?p=326…

I’m the guy at NHL HQ who’s in charge of making sure all of our major events get overshadowed by things in other sports, they gave me a huge raise for putting the season opener at 5 pm on a weekday at the same time as Game 1 of the MLB playoffs

The SEC says in a statement that the drop-kick onside kick recovered by Tennessee against Texas was "incorrectly officiated" and should have resulted in a 5-yard penalty against Tennessee.

Arch Manning is UNDEFEATED (10-0) as a starter at DKR-Texas Memorial Stadium, including wins over THREE top-10 teams (No. 1 Ohio State, No. 3 Texas A&M and No. 9 Vanderbilt) 🤘🏻
He is the ONLY Longhorn starting QB to knock off THREE top-10 opponents at home in a career.

They didn’t bother anyone. Just a group of desi college kids living the American dream by simply enjoying their college team comeback and win an incredible game.
But we live in a world where platforms are run on racist comments to stoke fear, anger and create division.
Idk why all the blame is being put on Butera for the blown saves, the whole problem here is they're operating with four starters and have to hamstring themselves as a result. The bullpen looks like this because of a top-down decision
1/2 looking good, the rest...
Okay, let's do better this time #natitude
1) Lose less than 100 games (barely)
2) Abrams is not traded in season
3) Crews ends up back in MLB and improves
4) Nasim Nunez breakout, Jacob Young regression
5) Cade Cavalli is Nats lone All-Star
6) End season with a top 5 farm system
