Last week's Covid Inquiry report into care was a devastating verdict on @MattHancock's failures during the pandemic.
His response: silence.
He doesn't care.
Show him we still do; sign our petition to hold him accountable.

Obama: "You got the defense secretary who is like a laser focused on important matters like the jawline and testosterone levels of our troops, and livestreaming executions because that's how he thinks you cultivate that manly warrior spirit. How much time do you think this man spends in front of the mirror every day?"

Obama just spoke to an ELECTRIC audience in Ohio, skewering Trump and Pete Hegseth and making the case that while we may be stuck with the same president for two more years, we are not stuck with a spineless do-nothing Congress

"Children have stubbornly refused to become machines. This is perhaps one of the great inconveniences of education". Absolutely brilliant piece by @smithsmm challenging the attempts to codify everything & over-structure what should be a human-centred, not robotic, experience 👏
Where’s the buzz? Great teaching needs evidence, consistency and strong routines. But it also needs personality, judgement and a little bit of magic. Enjoying the writing process again, my latest blog on why we shouldn’t take the “teach” out of teaching.

This man and his lackey Hancock have been found guilty of killing thousands of older people living in care homes and lying to the public time and again.
They should be arrested, prosecuted and imprisoned posthaste.

He wanted to be PM in order to be PM. He didn’t expect there to be work. His narcissism persuaded him we would all love living under him & laughing at his ‘jokes’. He was a perfect, one-man argument for the abolition of Eton.

I find it really odd that some teachers seem determined to take the teach out of teaching. Teachers aren’t machines. Pupils aren’t machines. Evidence matters, but the making teaching a “science” risks damaging the craft. Teaching is relational, responsive and gloriously human.

Goodness me, the tweet below: you really couldn't make this up. I say that having fact-checked the research reports Ofsted put out during AS's time there. (Research appeared not just to have been cherry-picked, but to have misrepresented sources, eg: schoolsweek.co.uk/ofsted-mat…)

Following the Covid Inquiry's damning verdict on @MattHancock, we've launched a petition to remove him from the Privy Council.
His actions led to thousands of avoidable deaths.
This is a first symbolic step towards accountability.

The stated position of the Trump administration is that the President of Russia is a humanitarian and that the President of Ukraine should be removed from office.
The American electorate have a chance to make their feelings about this known in less than two weeks.
U.S. envoy Steve Witkoff praised Russian President Vladimir Putin as "a humanitarian" following the release of U.S. citizen Stephen Hubbard on Wednesday. During a meeting in St. Petersburg, Witkoff thanked Putin for freeing the American — whom the U.S. government had declared wrongfully detained — and lauded the Russian autocrat, who ordered the ongoing full-scale invasion of Ukraine almost five years ago.
Witkoff was in Russia as Trump administration and Russian officials were set to have talks focused on the Ukraine war.

It’s hugely concerning that this was done without mitigation of the risks
