What's it like to take a train from Baltimore to Montana? Here's my experience, and I'll say this: Four days riding trains with your 15-year-old daughter on that bridge between childhood and independence? Sign me up every time. ... #Amtrak #RideTheRails

Fleetwood team value: $3.1 million
Arsenal team value: $1.5 BILLION
Fleetwood wins. Awesome stuff. What's the equivalent in American sports?

One of, if not the biggest upsets in League Cup history. Saw the penalty shoot out live when I got home. Every pen was so well taken. 84 place difference in their prospective standings. English champions v 18th place in League 2. Storybook stuff.
Attention to detail has been on point in all facets of the game. Winning culture.
Pat Murphy pointed out one of the most important aspects of the Christian Yelich play at 2B:
Yelich had a bigger lead than usual because he was not being held closely by the first baseman, with 2 out and a right-hander batting.
The extra step (and good secondary lead) made Yelich safe.
"The whole game was changed when Yeli was safe at second," Murphy said. "That's just a hustle play."
Little plays decide big games.

This is wild and awesome that there is a tournament where this can happen
Fleetwood Town: ✅✅✅✅✅
Arsenal: ✅✅✅❌
Fleetwood Town, who are 18th in the fourth tier of English football, have knocked out Premier League champions Arsenal on penalties in one of the biggest shocks the EFL Cup has ever seen.
Bruno Guimaraes saw his penalty saved by Jay Lynch before Conor Haughey scored the winner.
The Cod Army have reeled in the biggest fish of them all.

Jordan was part of a tryout that also included G C.J. Hanson and C Michael Niese.
Ravens add a bit more interior OL depth with rookie Vega Ioane expected to be sidelined in near future.
To make room for Jordan, the Ravens released RB Jonathan Ward from practice squad.

New youth sports data is out from @AspenInstSports via @TheSFIA. Findings from 2025 include:
Tennis & golf participation surges
Flag football keeps growing
Low-income kids are being left behind
Fewer adults are coaching

Soccer coaches are thinking for themselves. But all the peripherals that are involved in getting a soccer game on the field — athletic training, SID, facilities ops, etc — are nearly universally opposed to this.
Men's college soccer celebrated its move to a fall-spring season. But behind the scenes, there's a strong push to block it.
~150 schools have submitted rescission votes. The NCAA D-1 board will discuss today.

The 49ers, Broncos, Browns, Eagles, Giants, and Ravens are among the teams to inquire about trading for Quenton Nelson.
The Colts won’t be able to obtain a 2027 1st for Nelson, but a 2nd-round pick certainly seems feasible.
The most interesting thing that’s sticking with me from the Jared Banner press conference today is Mike Elias saying Jared will handle internal players, internal coaches, player development, performance and healthcare.
Elias: “I think he's better than I am in those areas.”
This Brewers team just does everything well at such a fundamental level. Great example here. You run it out because you run it out. Great at-bats, purposeful swings, fundamental baserunning, great defense. It’s like a different sport than what we saw the Orioles play.

Minter said there are certainly moments where the Ravens "need a little bit more" of leadership from the locker room.

There was a report that it definitely came as a shock to the Ravens that Lamar Jackson didn't play Sunday.
Asked if that was a mischaracterization, Ravens coach Jesse Minter replied, "a little bit."

This Ravens-Bengals rewatch is brutal. The lack of effort and competitiveness in the second half jumps off the screen. It genuinely feels like the Bengals are playing against air as I watch this back
Harbaugh is gone. The heat falls squarely on him now. If they stumble along and miss the playoffs again, Jackson injury or not, that seat is going to be getting hot
After the Ravens' worst loss of the season, Eric DeCosta sat in the corner of the team's locker room, hands clasped, elbows on his knees.
A new coaching staff was supposed to fix things. So how did the Ravens get stuck in "quicksand" again?

Yes, this looks like Andrews expected the ball inside and then had to adjust to it outside. Maybe chalk it up to him and Snoop not being on the same page. Could he have caught it? Yes, but that's a tough one to call a drop.
