College hockey team captain killed in wrong-way crash with illegal alien.
EXCLUSIVE: University Hockey Captain Killed in Wrong Way Collision With Twice-Deported Mexican Illegal in Sanctuary Connecticut
A beloved member of the University of New Haven community was killed in a head-on collision with a driver who is in the U.S. illegally, federal authorities have confirmed with Border Hawk.
The tragedy unfolded at around 11:45 p.m. on Oct. 16 in North Haven, Connecticut.
Ryan O’Shea, 21, was driving southbound on Interstate 91 when a pickup truck traveling in the wrong direction slammed into his Honda Accord, causing his vehicle to strike two SUVs, Connecticut State Police (CSP) explained in an accident summary.
O’Shea, who was on his way back to campus after playing in a hockey game, was pronounced deceased at the scene.
The driver of the pickup truck, who suffered “serious life-threatening injuries,” was identified as 31-year-old Guillermo Carmona-Lopez, a resident of Bridgeport, Connecticut.
“In May 2013, Border Patrol arrested Carmona-Lopez, a criminal illegal alien from Mexico, after he illegally entered the country. Carmona-Lopez was issued an expedited removal and was removed from the country,” the Department of Homeland Security told us.
“He then illegally reentered the country near the Rio Grande Valley after being removed—a felony—and was once again arrested by Border Patrol in May 2013. Carmona-Lopez was issued a final order of removal on May 30, 2013. He then reentered the country at an unknown time and place.”
It is currently unclear if Carmona-Lopez will face charges in connection with the crash.
A resident of Stony Point, New York, O’Shea served as senior assistant captain of the university’s club hockey team and also chapter president of the Kappa Sigma fraternity.
He was studying criminal justice with a concentration in police science and aspired to work for the New York Police Department.
“Ryan was not only a great leader, but he was a caring friend to anyone around him. He always knew how to light up a room and make people laugh, no matter the time. Ryan’s leadership and the memories he has made will never be forgotten,” Kappa Sigma wrote in an Instagram post memorializing O’Shea.
Ryan’s sisters said he “always found a way to make everything positive.”
“He was always trying to go out of the way to help others and include them in new spaces if they didn’t know anyone,” Kiera O’Shea stated.
Two memorial scholarships have been established in Ryan O’Shea’s name. Contributions can be made here.
We contacted CSP to request more information on this investigation and Carmona-Lopez’s current condition and will provide updates if they become available.

My fellow Americans,
Something broke in the Democratic Party.
Their love of country has gone missing.
Giving other people basic human dignity seems no longer necessary to them.
What is right and wrong now depends on who has committed the wrong and why?
Reason has given way to rage. Persuasion has been discarded for violent rhetoric and actual violence.
Fraud, theft and voting irregularities and illegal voting now seem acceptable to them. Even justified.
Leftists have more sympathy for criminals than for the victims of their crime.
Their empathy for their fellow Americans must only be given to those with the same political beliefs.
This unique American system of government with its checks and balances that has provided the greatest level of freedom and prosperity the world has ever known, they feel is now dispensable.
What they offer to replace it is a socialist nightmare that has been responsible for the deaths of over 100,000,000 people in the 20th century.
Perhaps even worse, the Left now flirt with the dangerous and Western Civilization enemy of Islam, which is completely incompatible with American freedoms, our constitution, women rights and gay rights, religious freedoms and free speech.
An actual Hamas terrorist supporter, supported by the designated terrorist group, the Muslim Brotherhood, is running to be the next Senator of Michigan and may very well win.
I remind my fellow Americans that our freedoms are inalienable and given by God and were fought and died for by patriots with their own blood.
While the Republican Party is far from perfect, they will keep our borders closed from people who intend to harm our fellow citizens. Unlike Democrats, they will continue to protect our God given liberties and our Constitution and our system of justice and government.
So I beseech you to do your duty and vote like your life, and your children’s life and freedoms depend on it.

LEGAL LAWFARE- James O’ Keefe and Cam Higby are being selectively prosecuted by Mary Moriarty, the same progressive Minnesota DA, who allows criminals to walk free everyday.
They're facing TWO felony counts (up to 10 years in jail) for exposing how EASILY Minnesota’s voter vouching program can be defrauded.
James and Cam are being charged with "identity theft" and “unlawful voting”, despite neither of them submitting a ballot, or anyone asking them for any formal identification that day.
No illegal activity was committed by either party and no voter was disenfranchised or defrauded. This is simply the state of Minnesota abusing their power after being (once again) exposed by independent journalists.
REMINDER: Minnesota has a long history of voter fraud with the DOJ recently indicting 10 ILLEGALS for voting in Minnesota elections. Also, back in 2024 a SOMALI was recommended for felony election law charges by a local sheriff for “multi-county voter irregularities” but guess what, the local DA DECLINED TO PROSECUTE.
The judicial system in the entire state of Minnesota is rigged against the people trying to expose election fraud and the only time you’ll see a Minnesota DA prosecute is if someone is trying to EXPOSE the fraud in the state.

NEW: the Department of Homeland Security tells me that this suspect charged with First-Degree Murder in Montgomery County, Maryland had entered the country illegally from Honduras.
Montgomery County Police have yet to release a mugshot of the alleged killer, who repeatedly stabbed a man to death in the parking lot of the H Mart on Georgia Ave in Wheaton. He was then tracked down by the US Marshals Fugitive Task Force and arrested while leaving his residence in Rockville.
“On October 26, the Montgomery County Police Department arrested Elder Adonay Blanco Zapata, a criminal illegal alien from Honduras, for first-degree murder,” a @DHSgov spokesperson tells @VilisReports.
“He entered illegally on an unknown date and location and has never been lawfully present in the U.S.” (local media has referred to Zapata as a ‘Rockville man’)

Blanco-Zapata was arrested by the US Marshals Capital Area Regional Fugitive Task Force and Montgomery County Police detectives this morning as he was leaving his home in Rockville, Maryland.
He has since been charged with First-Degree Murder and is being held at the Montgomery County Central Processing Unit, where he awaits a bond hearing.

Eduart Gomez Ochoa, a Mexican national with a rap sheet a mile long, was recently RELEASED by local officials in Minnesota. Shortly after his release, he reoffended and has been apprehended again.
@ICEGov first lodged a detainer for Gomez Ochoa in May. Minnesota officials should honor this detainer so that this serial sexual assaulter can be finally be deported.

Eduart Gomez Ochoa, 28, was arrested on 10/24/26 after a two day manhunt. According to the criminal complaint, Ochoa tried to grab and drag a woman out of her apartment window but fled only after the woman kicked and screamed.
Ochoa is also charged with second-degree criminal sexual conduct, first-degree burglary and third-degree assault in a May incident where it is alleged he broke into an apartment and sucked on an underage girl's foot.
Ten days later, Gomez Ochoa was arrested Maplewood after two more sexual assaults where police say he snuck up on women and groped them.
Ochoa is wanted in connection to multiple other assaults and has prior charges but was RELEASED by Ramsey County on his own recognizance in September.
A senior @DHSgov official tells @BorderHawkNews that Ochoa is a "criminal alien predator" from Mexico with prior arrests for:
- Domestic abuse in violation of a protection order
- Multiple arrests for domestic assault
- Felony threats of violence
- Felony fleeing of a police officer

Ochoa first illegally entered the United States in November 2000 and became a green card holder when he was 20 years old.
“On May 20, 2026, ICE lodged a detainer with the Ramsey County Jail following Ochoa’s arrest May 17 for burglary, criminal sexual conduct, and fleeing a peace officer, but it was lifted because the jail decided to PROTECT this criminal alien and decline the detainer."

Rant: Got last minute travel today, so won't be doing a Democracy Files drop today.
But saw that the person at the center of the files posted about "unimaginable horrors."
Let me tell you why I got interested in "democracy" in the first place.
I've told this story many times, but here again: I was DOGE adjacent from the very beginning. I was recruited by several DOGE teams in January 2025, because I was excited about the opportunity to finally cut spending and taming the national debt.
Bu then - Tesla Takedown protests happened. People got so worked up that they were firebombing innocent Tesla owners. A viral website with a Molotov cocktail cursor prominently featured my husband's address. I was doxxed in the middle of that, and forced to flee the state and homeschool my children.
That's when I started researching and writing UNELECTED. I quickly found the groups organizing and funding the civil unrest were all about "democracy." It made no sense to me. DOGE wasn't overturning elections. They were cutting obviously silly awards - given our national deficit, who would object to that?
Silly me!
Turns out "democracy" means diffused rule by unelected people, and all that USAID money going to marginalized groups to build a "civil society" is the foundation of that. So the immune system of "civil unrest" can be activated anytime, and terrorize anyone who dares to step out of line. Such as DOGE employees. Such as me and my family.
That research trail led me all the way to DemAID (now DRG), a group of ex-USAID officers. Led by you and Ro Tucci. @iamlisalogan and @SKDoubleDub33 found DemAID on video taking credit for these protests.
But this isn't about me. This is about the United States. And about the dozens of countries wrecked by color revolutions. You aren't solving polarization. You are the source of polarization, because in the process of building "civil society," you are displacing people's inborn allegiances and training them up to attack the very foundations a nation are founded upon.
Nor is this about revenge or anger. I'm calling on everyone to pray that no more damage is done, and that we can find a path forward that preserves our Constitutional Republic.

Pritzker’s Springfield Mandates Trigger $3.1 Billion Cook County Tax Explosion
Governor J.B. Pritzker is directly driving the crushing property tax crisis hammering Cook County families. Since Pritzker took office in 2019, the county's total tax burden has skyrocketed by $3.1 billion, reaching a historic $19.9 billion for the 2025 tax year.
Illinois' crushing state-level policies are directly causing individual bills to spike:
Unfunded State Mandates: Springfield routinely forces expensive operational rules on public schools and local governments without providing state cash, legally forcing local districts to hike property taxes to cover the bills.
Expanding Pension Debt: Pritzker has repeatedly signed off on expanded public-sector pension benefits, ballooning the state's legacy liabilities. Now, nearly 50% of Cook County's property tax revenue, $9 billion annually, is devoured entirely by pension and municipal debt instead of local services.
Homeowners Pay the Price: Instead of cutting government spending when commercial properties lost value post-pandemic, local taxing bodies capitalized on state allowances to shift the burden. Homeowners are now stuck paying for 80% of all new tax increases.
To reverse this decline, Darren Bailey's campaign platform explicitly vows to prioritize immediate property tax relief to ensure families aren't taxed out of their homes. NEW: Multiple DHS sources confirm to @FoxNews that the suspect charged w/ murdering a Walmart manager in Philadelphia, PA on Wednesday is a Haitian illegal alien who flew into the U.S. via former President Biden's CHNV mass parole migrant flights program in 2023. Per sources, 23-year-old Destino Jean-Louis flew into the US on 11/24/2023 via Fort Lauderdale International Airport, and his legal status was revoked on 6/12/2025 after President Trump terminated the program.
According to investigators, Jean-Louis had previously been married to the victim he killed as part of an immigration-related sham marriage arrangement that was designed to help get him get a green card in the US. But after DHS denied the application in July, the victim, Latosha Cooper, withdrew the petition and cut off contact with him, and Jean-Louis became angry. He is accused of shooting Cooper in the head outside of the Walmart on Wednesday after finding out about her work schedule. He previously worked at the Walmart with her. The DA in Montgomery County, PA has now charged him with murder.
