Gear is less risky to start, because it stays with you, and if you put it on your Master Editions, you can’t die or lose the gear like if you were to put them on a clone, or if you were to promote clones or ME’s you lose a star when they die to a mob. So gear is definitely the way to go. Higher cost but much lower risk and you can always sell it later too.

Two updates live now.
Mushroom Monsters drop Mushrooms. One catch: only the killer gets them. $QUEST and XP split by damage dealt, but the Mushroom roll goes to whoever lands the killing blow. Level 1 is 45% for 1, level 5 and up is 65% for 9. Straight to your town bank.
Combat balance: all when-damaged skills now share a 2 round cooldown, so one defensive reaction per 2 rounds regardless of how many reactive items you wear. Block skills block exactly one hit per trigger. A single critter tanking a full squad was proccing up to 4x more often than intended.
Skills that trigger on your own attacks are unchanged. Tooltips updated.
