robotics will not explode like ChatGPT. robotics is a: 1. models problem (YC hivemind overindexes on this) 2. supply chain problem (china FTW) 3. infrastructure problem this means that the adoption curve will be a lot more gradual. my favourite robotics companies are that see the bigger picture.
there is no ChatGPT moment for robotics capability can skyrocket “overnight” but adoption is the long horizon all the opportunity belongs to those who can make adoption work. its a game of march of 9s (reliability), the last mile (deployment), and keeping it running (support).

Happy Pythagorean Theorem Day! 10/24/26 10² + 24² = 26² This is the last one we’ll experience in our lifetime.

I was able to replicate 70% of sf including hills in a PS1 retro style game base. Will release it to the public soon! playable in isometric and first person. You can be dropped at any address. Godot compatible, no web slop!

Oh we are just building robots to build other robots and build data centers for their brains that can solve unsolved problems in mathematics beyond human knowledge. Its probably nothing

Gave GPT-6 Astra the task to plug in an ethernet cable. It did it after 2 hours and 4 human prompt interventions. Being able to complete a task with tight tolerance and deformable objects is impressive. But I think speed is still a big problem with agentic robotic systems, since deep reasoning via 3D programs is an integral part of this pipeline, and it’s not obvious to me how that can be distilled/accelerated to a level comparable to VLAs.

Two things can be true at once: (1) foundation models are the future of robotics and (2) a lot of robot stuff cannot be solved without a good understanding of the problem space, which is not the same as computer use
People making grand claims about #robotics really need to spend time with actual robots. Debug the controller yourself. Deal with contact, latency, calibration, failures. And before declaring old problems obsolete or rebranding long-standing robotics ideas around foundation models, engage seriously with the field you are making claims about. #ECCV2026

brain can simulate a universal turing machine and thus all computable functions and so it's a computer. not very interesting unless you're stupid so let's all stop talking about it
the brain is literally a computer and there are a lot of people who deny this for some reason.
