Trending Story: Egypt set to exec/ute a 30yr-old man for converting from Islam to Christianity, refusing to renounce Jesus and preaching online.
Said Abdelrazek’s has been in jail since July 2025, where he’s held in crucifix position, tortur-ed and his worship group labeled a terrorist organization.
In Egypt, conversion is not illegal. But, the government actively refuses to change people’s official identification documents from Islam to Christian, rather, they are prosecuted.
Abdelrazek is being charged with blasphemy, inciting religious disorder, online religious expression i.e. preaching Jesus and criticizing the state for refusing to change his document to Christianity.,
And finally terrorism; he is accused of joining a banned terrorist organization, which is basically his associated Christian groups. For all these, the state is seeking capital punishment or 25yrs imprisonment.
His lawyer stated that the alleged terrorist group does not exist, and his prolonged detention is only because he has refused to renounce Jesus and return to Islam.
The matter has been discussed in British parliament and the U.S. Congress. Follow @TrendingEx for dailies..

Do not Undermine Democracy
I have received with shock the news of an order by the Federal High Court in Abuja nullifying the emergence of the Chairman of the African Democratic Congress (ADC) and all the actions he has taken. This is unsettling and surprising.
I do not challenge the ruling of the court. The court of law is constituted to determine disputes according to the law. My concern is that three months before a general election, it is in the public interest to have certainty. It is not good to have too many uncertainties about candidates and parties a few weeks before a presidential election. This instability is obviously engineered by the ruling party, just as they have done against me in the Labour Party and continue to do so to close down civic space for a robust campaign. It is also from the same rulebook that manufactures violence against us in our campaigns.
One mark of democracy is that at all times, it is voters and not courts that choose leaders. I trust in the judiciary. As a public officer, I have shown deep respect for the judiciary. I appeal that we protect the integrity of democracy by not undermining the free and fair choice of candidates.
The sustenance of democracy in Nigeria, in the midst of encroaching military rule in West Africa, should strengthen our resolve to protect opposition politics and not stamp out opposition parties. It is because of the importance of opposition to the sustenance of democracy that I have always promised that, as President, I will take a special interest in ensuring opposition parties are stable and thriving, and that opposition candidates are not persecuted out of electoral contests.
This is a time to strengthen our democracy by allowing the opposition to thrive.

I am sincerely tired of Christians like you whose liberal leanings cloud their moral clarity.
At what point does institutional, theological, and global Islam take precedence over relational sentiments towards a few exceptions?
This same radical imperial Islam that Mamdani and El-Sayed support has spilled the blood of your Christian brethren here in the thousands.
El-Sayed's mother and sisters have ties to the Muslim Brotherhood, a terrorist organisation banned even in several Muslim countries.
El-Sayed campaigned alongside a communist who said America deserved 9/11, the greatest terrorist attack carried out by Muslims in history.
Mamdani's wife praised the October 7 terrorist attack by Hamas, which killed approximately 1,200 people, including innocent civilians at a music festival.
El-Sayed believes that Iran's terror regime, which sponsors three of the deadliest Islamist terrorist organisations, poses less of a threat to the United States than Israel.
These are just surface-level issues.
When a synagogue was attacked by a Muslim and children were killed, El-Sayed reportedly responded, "Hurt people, hurt people," in what amounted to a justification of the attack.
At what point does what Islam represents globally become the measure by which we assess it?
From the Quran to the Hadith, the Sira, the Tafsir, and the Futuh literature, Islam has a historical record of conquest and the violent subjugation of Christians, Jews, and non-believers.
The whole of Islamic history bears witness to this. Much of its territorial expansion was achieved through military conquest.
When military conquest was no longer a viable means of expansion, other instruments, including diplomacy and soft power, became increasingly significant.
Qatar has spent billions of dollars on American universities, raising legitimate concerns about the influence of foreign funding on academic narratives and institutions.
And that is precisely why they are in America, by their own admission.
Is it then wrong for a shepherd to raise concerns over this?
Martin Luther raised similar concerns. Aquinas raised similar concerns.
But you, a Christian, reprimand the person raising concerns about those who, in certain contexts, pose a literal mortal danger to you.
I am holding myself back. But Christians like you are truly, truly unbelievable.

North Korea stole $6.3 billion from Binance by inviting one of its engineers to a job interview at a company that didn't exist.
And the guy didn't even have access to the money.
It took them five months and two separate hacks to pull this off.
Back in June, an engineer on Binance's wallet team went looking for an AI tool and installed a tampered Homebrew package. Binance caught it, swapped the laptop and reset the passwords. Problem solved, they figured. Except by then the attackers already knew who worked on that team and what each person did.
So they went recruiting.
In September a different Binance engineer got a message on a real job site from someone calling himself a project director. First round was a video call with a fake HR person, who even shared a social media account full of personal photos so the whole thing felt legit. Second round was with the "CEO," who told him to download a coding assignment onto his work computer. It was loaded with malware nobody had seen before, and Binance's security software missed it completely.
Then they waited. On October 20 they used his laptop plus one of Binance's own internal AI tools to get onto two wallet engineers' computers, and one of those engineers had permission to spin up new code on Binance's systems. Nine days later the attackers did exactly that. They ran a script and used an Ethereum feature called EIP-7702 to hand themselves control of a hot wallet, one of the wallets Binance keeps online to process withdrawals. Money started pouring out at 8:05pm UTC.
It took Binance four hours to stop it, which works out to more than $25 million a minute.
And it took that long because of a safety feature. Binance splits the signing power on those wallets into pieces held by different parties, so no single employee can ever drain one alone. That sounds great until something goes wrong, because it also meant nobody could hit the off switch on their own.
For context, the previous record was Bybit's $1.5 billion in February 2025, also North Korea. This one is four times bigger. Binance has already refilled about 98% of it out of its own pocket and says customers won't lose a cent.
Binance says it blocked 57 suspected North Korean attacks this year, and the one that got through started with a guy who just wanted a new job.
