I constantly harp on Nigerians/Africans, who lack minds of their own. You are a Nigerian. You are not a White Southern Baptist in America. Your environment is different, your context is different. Have enough self-awareness to appreciate that fact. Stop acting and sounding, like a fool.

You are in Nigeria, your preferred candidate in any Presidential Elections - cannot win without the support of Nigerian Muslims; Or maybe the best candidate in a Presidential Election, could be a Muslim. If you like, keep talking like a White Southern Baptist in rural Alabama - who hasn't met a Muslim in his/her life. This is why you are a human being, not a parrot - you should talk and act with full awareness of your context.

The most foolish thing the Dems can try to do is impeach Trump. It would literally be a fool hardy move.
NEW: Multiple members of Congress say enough Republicans will vote to successfully remove Trump from office upon impeachment due to growing frustration with Trump and to allow JD Vance to run as an incumbent, per Rich Baris.

It is not an accident that education in Nigeria has been neglected by the government and allowed to decline over the years. It is by design, and it is very intentional

A VERY IMPORTANT QUESTION.
If religious identity is important enough to influence your perception of someone’s political suitability, then why do you guys make it look like ethnic identity should be irrelevant in nigerian politics please ? Or you’re not just seeing the irony

I didn’t know this.
Iraq has five reserved seats in the parliament reserved for Christians The deputy speaker of the Syrian parliament and the Minister of Social Affairs are both Christians The President of the Supreme Court in Egypt is a Christian And I haven't even mentioned Lebanon

Christian Nationalism IS NOT CHRISTIANITY. That is my final note. All of you obsessed with political dominance in the name of God are absolutely on the wrong side here. Stop listening to right wing nationalist pastors. God bless you.

Bro, I find this line of thinking troubling. The Church was never commissioned to pursue cultural domination but to make disciples of all nations. Yes, Christianity should influence culture, but influence and domination are not synonymous. And since when did the methods of other religions become the standard for how the Church should fulfil Christ’s mandate? We cannot claim to advance the Kingdom of Christ while borrowing the very methods of worldly power that Christ distinguished His Kingdom from. We cannot!
My argument is that Christianity isn’t aggressive enough with culture dominance. Too passive. Too accommodating. Most of Christianity seems to stay within church walls. Other faiths aren’t like that.

Lmao. Vance operatives in action.
BREAKING: Vice President JD Vance privately slams Netanyahu for being "wrong on everything" about Iran, per Axios. Vance quietly warned that the war was "highly unpopular and could cost Republicans the election." Trump didn't listen to Vance and at one point considered launching strikes before the midterms, "as Netanyahu was pressing him to do."

Because cultural dominance isn’t Christianity?

It is THE SIGNIFICANT ideology.
It is rather disingenuous to pretend that Christian nationalism is not a significant ideological undercurrent among those championing this discourse.

Lmao So the Texas Governor has been running on dictator powers. And it’s just now that they want to rein it in? Because Dems won?
🚨 I call on Gov. Abbott to IMMEDIATELY convene a special session to REIN IN EXECUTIVE EMERGENCY POWERS… before Gina Hinojosa is sworn in! Republicans lost last night, but Democrats were not sworn in. We still have total power in Texas, and we must act like it by using the remaining ten weeks to restore separation of powers and limit the emergency powers that Governor-Elect Hinojosa is set to inherit, which would allow her to destroy liberty in Texas by executive fiat. I’ve warned since I was first elected that NO governor, Republican or Democrat, should have unchecked emergency powers! Now that Texas has elected a Democrat Governor, the urgency is undeniable… and inaction is intolerable. Without action, Governor Hinojosa will inherit the powers of a DICTATOR. Due to the absurd (and almost certainly unconstitutional) Texas emergency powers laws, Gov. Hinojosa will literally have the power to modify laws, ignore laws, or create and enforce laws – including criminal laws – on a whim! Today is a day for ACTION, and bold leadership. The Texas Legislature must immediately pass, and Governor Abbott must sign, legislation like HB911, which I filed in 2022 and warned at the time, that “Never ending emergency powers are antithetical to representative government and render people powerless. Legislative bodies allowing a single executive branch official to both write and enforce laws is the biggest threat to our constitutional system of divided government and should be opposed irrespective of which political party runs the executive branch.” My legislation would protect liberty from executive fiat by, among other things, taking the following actions: 1. Prohibit the Governor from suspending or modifying statutes 2. Sunset emergency orders in 30 days if the legislature does not ratify the order 3. Prohibit the governor from reissuing emergency orders that expired or the legislature rejected 4. Require emergency orders to be narrowly tailored 5. Subject emergency orders to expedited judicial review We have TEN WEEKS LEFT to protect Texas from near total Democrat rule. I encourage every elected Republican in Texas to join my demand for Gov. Abbott to call a special session. The future of liberty in America is literally on the line in Texas, and Texans deserve leadership that acts accordingly. @GregAbbott_TX

The Lagos-Calabar highway alone, $11 to $13 billion, is more than Nigeria's entire education budget for multiple years combined. What stupid reform are you talking?!
When I first arrived in the United States as a young man, I drove a taxi to earn money for my education. I even had to postpone starting school for several months to save enough. When I eventually got to Chicago, I worked different jobs to support myself and pay my way through university. I know what it means to worry about tuition, accommodation and how to make ends meet while pursuing an education. Those experiences have stayed with me. I know what education made possible in my own life, and I believe every Nigerian child deserves that same opportunity, regardless of where they are born or what their parents can afford. This is one reason education remains a major priority of our Renewed Hope administration. Through NELFUND, we have provided over ₦372 billion in student loans for institutional fees and upkeep, helping young Nigerians remain in school and pursue their education. Our technical and vocational education programme has attracted over 2.8 million applications. We have rehabilitated 38 technical colleges, while students in federal and selected state technical colleges now benefit from free school fees, boarding, textbooks and uniforms. We have reached a new agreement with ASUU, providing for a 40% increase in academic staff remuneration and measures to improve stability in our universities. A four-year course must take four years. Our young people deserve to complete their education on time and get on with their lives. Promise made, Promise Kept In medical education, we are investing ₦110 billion in rehabilitating 24 medical schools. Annual nursing enrolment has increased from 28,000 to 115,000, while medical and dental enrolment has risen from 5,000 to 12,000. Nigeria needs more doctors, nurses and other healthcare professionals, and we must build the capacity to train them here at home. Over one million children who were previously out of school have been returned to learning. We are investing in teacher development, expanding educational opportunities for girls, and implementing a new national curriculum that restores Nigerian History to our classrooms. Our children must know where we have come from, understand the country they belong to, and be prepared to take responsibility for its future. I commend the Honourable Minister of Education, Dr Tunji Alausa @DrTunjiAlausa, the Minister of State, Professor Suwaiba Sa’id Ahmad @Suwaiba_Said, and the entire education team @NigEducation for their dedication to this important work. I am particularly pleased that the team has developed an interactive A–Z of the Nigeria Education Sector Renewal Initiative (NESRI), bringing together the reforms, programmes, achievements and opportunities across our education system. I invite every Nigerian to visit edu4pbat.ng and explore the A–Z of NESRI. If you are a parent, find out what opportunities are available for your children. If you are a student, explore the programmes you can benefit from. If you are a teacher, see what support is available. And if something is not working as it should in your community, I want to hear about it. Your feedback will help us identify problems and address them. Our journey from reform to opportunities and shared prosperity must begin with education. The circumstances of a child’s birth should never determine the limits of their ambition. Our responsibility is to give every Nigerian child a fair chance to fulfil their potential. We have more work to do, and I am determined to see it through. Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR President

Poverty is a policy choice.
Zohran Mamdani is saying "poverty is a policy choice" and that politicians have a duty to make life affordable for their constituents. A lot of politicians are nervous, because that would mean actually doing the "service" part of public service.
