A lot of #NYR fans missed the dark ages and don’t know or remember the backups that Richter had… the corpses of Kirk McLean and Guy Herbert, Johan Holmqvist, JF Labbe, Vitali Yeremeyev, Milan Hnilicka, Jason LaBarbera, Johan Holmqvist.

Trade: The #Colts are trading 3-time Pro-Bowl DT DeForest Buckner back to the #49ers, the team that made him a 2016 first-round pick before dealing him to Indianapolis in 2020, per me and @AdamSchefter. A reunion!! Now Buckner returns to SF, fortifying their defensive line.

John Harbaugh is an expert with kickers. He knows the position better than any head coach in football. He literally had two kickers in his 19 seasons at Baltimore who are both borderline Hall of Famers (Stover and Tucker). Dominic Zvada is going to be an elite NFL kicker for many years. The Giants know what they have in him, he’s a rare talent. There are going to be some bumps along the way but missing 57, 56, and 50 yarders is 100% excusable for a rookie. Only thing I would change is stop putting him out there for 55+ yd FG’s unless it is end of game of or end of half situation for the time being. He needs to keep building his confidence and missing from any distance dents that along with the media scrutiny. I am a huge fan of this young man. We cannot make the mistake of letting him out the building like we did with future Hall of Famer Chris Boswell PIT in 2015. Patience is required. Go Big Blue!

The Charlotte Hornets on Feb. 11 are retiring the No. 1 jersey of Muggsy Bogues, the shortest player in NBA history at 5-foot-3. Bogues spent 10 of his 14 NBA seasons in Charlotte (1988-1998) and is the franchise leader in assists, steals and minutes.

#Giants GM Joe Schoen tells reporters during his bye-week press conference RB Tyrone Tracy Jr. is being placed on IR with a hamstring injury suffered Sunday in the win over the #Texans. Not a long-term injury but he’s down four games.

Michigan opens up as a 14.5-point favorite at Rutgers per @FanDuel

Here's Dylan Garand on how he assesses his last few performances after starting hot: "My work ethic and my compete is there. I'm really trying hard; I'm just making a couple mental errors and mental mistakes -- just not executing at the level I know I'm capable of. So, that's been frustrating for myself. I know that I have better and can execute better and make more saves. That's all I'm trying to do, is stop the puck and help this team win. You look at the last three weeks, I've played some really good hockey. The last two (games), I actually think I played well in Toronto. Maybe one or two goals I'd like back, but I made some big saves. And Ottawa, I didn't love my game. So, I'm just taking things one day at a time. Obviously, each game comes and goes, and you go through it, you learn from it, and try to be better... I'm excited to get a break, reset, and then get back at it." #NYR

Trade: Colts have agreed to send eight-time Pro-Bowl guard Quenton Nelson to the Seattle Seahawks, per me and @rapsheet. Nelson is on an expiring contract and the Colts are opting to get back draft capital now before they could lose him in free agency. But an all-time Colt now moves on to the Seahawks.

At #NYR practice, D Sean Durzi is not skating (maintenance) and G James Reimer is out day-to-day with an upper-body injury.

Sullivan said splitting up the Pettersson-Durzi pair wasn't just about tonight. "It was an accumulation of events over time,'' he said. He said Durzi is "battling through some stuff physically, and I'm sure that might be part of it," but the pair hasn't been as good lately.

Jay-Z it is! Perfect.

NEWS: Oregon coach Dan Lanning announces that star quarterback Dante Moore is not expected to play the rest of the season. He hasn’t played since suffering a concussion against USC on Sept. 26. Moore returned to Oregon for 2026 after projecting as a top pick in the NFL Draft.
