I’ve been blessed to spend time with many of the world’s great investors.
20 years ago, I made a point to hunt down the best. Many are now popular on Fintwit - Nick Sleep, Li Lu, Chuck Akre. Others should be - Chris Hohn, Larry Robbins, and more.
For🎄: 12 lessons I learned🧵👇
$META quietly filing that it may need to raise up to $700 BILLION in equity. 👀
…and in every case, at least “hundreds of billions.” lol
Hey, at least if it doesn’t go well, Zuck will have used this as a way to solidify voting control for the rest of his life. 🙌

Btw, props to @Quartr_App for the absolute best earnings call tool.
For more on SpaceX’s modest plans for the next two years:

I gotta give Elon credit, he leaves no man behind in his ride-or-die crew:
• Saved his Twitter co-investors by merging them into xAI at a ridiculous valuation
• Saved his xAI investors by merging them into SpaceX at ridiculous valuation
• Talking about saving his Tesla investors by merging them into SpaceX
• Working to save his $SPCX investors by claiming he’ll soon have 100,000 satellites, 20 GW of power and cooling next year(!), a nationwide DTC mobile service, new bigger rockets, and closing in on $1 TRILLION of run-rate revenue in 15 months
All that gets you a whopping 6% pop in the stock. lol
But if you are on the Elon ride-or-die crew, a chunk of $SPCX lockups come off and you can keep unloading those bags.💰
No man left behind.
Props. 🫡

$ASTS Fortunate for Spacemob, the market doesn't believe AT&T. They need to prove they will be competitive in the evolving landscape.

Won’t be easy for Elon to launch a wireless “phone” business.

Wow early stages still? $GOOG
Alex @Kantrowitz Big Tech Podcast has been on a heater - it just dropped one with Google’s Sundar Pichai.
Alex asks if GCP is sold out to 2028, ala AWS.👇
“Yeah…today, if a customer is asking us for compute in ‘27, that is incredibly difficult to do… we are at early stages of the most consequential technology ever.” -@sundarpichai 👀

Allocating compute to internal vs external demand?
Q: How do you allocate between internal research and supporting customers? Do you risk shortchanging your own research in the most important thing ever?
A: @sundarpichai: “Even for our AI researchers, constraints are also good. That’s what inspires creativity. That’s what helps you come with a more efficient algorithmic breakthrough.
“We are committed to invest what’s necessary to stay at the frontier.”

I will take the Under against all comers. ✍️
As crazy as this sounds, $1T in SpaceX revenue in 2028 is no longer impossible

Germans are so unhealthy they take a sick day every two weeks.
The persistent illness in its society makes me concerned for its populous; Germany obviously needs to invest in its healthcare system. 🧑⚕️
I thought I was being witty calling it Gain of Function research, but it turns out 30 mins later in the pod, @bhorowitz actually says the thing I just said.
Oh, and Bill Gates catches a wild volley of strays out of nowhere as an accidentally lethal doomer, or something. @Jason
