Husband: Sorry, should I step outside?
I smiled.
Me: No, it’s okay. You can stay.
He smiled back and continued getting ready.
That morning, I realised something.
A loving marriage doesn’t mean you suddenly stop having insecurities. It means you have someone who loves you enough not to make those insecurities worse.
Sometimes, the greatest gift your partner can give you is the patience to become comfortable being yourself.

Me: When I was in boarding school, the girls used to laugh at me because of my breasts. They were extremely small, and some of the girls made jokes about them. I was constantly embarrassed whenever I had to change clothes around other girls. Sometimes, I would wait until everyone had left before getting dressed.
I paused before continuing.
Me: I became so insecure about my body that I started hiding myself from everyone. Even after leaving school, I never really got over it. I guess I’ve carried that insecurity into our marriage.
He held my hand and listened without interrupting.
Husband: I’m sorry you had to go through that. You were just a young girl, and you didn’t deserve to be made to feel ashamed of your body.
I looked at him.
Me: Sometimes, I worry that you might also notice the things they used to laugh about.
He gently held my face.
Husband: Listen to me. You don’t have to look like anyone else to be beautiful to me. I married you because I love you, not because I was expecting you to have a particular body.
My eyes became watery.
Husband: And I don’t want you to feel pressured to change your habits overnight. If you want privacy while dressing, you have it. If you need time to become comfortable, I’ll give you all the time you need.
I hugged him tightly.
Me: Thank you for understanding.
He kissed my forehead.
Husband: You’re my wife, not someone who owes me access to every part of her whenever I want. I want you to feel safe with me.
From that day, nothing changed overnight, but little by little, I started becoming more comfortable around him.
He never rushed me, never made jokes about my body, and never turned my insecurities into something to tease me about.
Sometimes, he would compliment me when I least expected it, and whenever I felt uncomfortable, he reminded me that I had nothing to be ashamed of.
One morning, I was getting dressed when he walked into the room.
I instinctively reached for my clothes to cover myself.
He immediately stopped.

After I got married, I told my husband to leave the room so I could get dressed.
He looked at me and said:
Husband: Have you forgotten that we just got married? You’re my wife now.
Me: I know, but it still feels awkward. I’m used to dressing in privacy.
He smiled.
Husband: Okay, no problem. Take your time.
He walked out and closed the door behind him.
At first, I thought he would eventually get tired of it, but he never complained. Whenever I wanted to change my clothes, he would excuse himself without making me feel uncomfortable. Sometimes, he would even ask if I needed anything before leaving.
One evening, while we were getting ready for bed, he gently asked:
Husband: Can I ask you something?
Me: Of course.
Husband: Why do you always feel the need to hide your body from me? I don’t want you to feel uncomfortable around your own husband.
I was quiet for a moment.
Me: It’s not that I don’t trust you. There’s just something I’ve struggled with for a long time.
He moved closer.
Husband: You can tell me. I’m listening.
I took a deep breath before telling him the truth….

I immediately apologized and started gathering my things.
The woman squeezed my hand before I could leave.
"Please..."
"Could you stay just a few more minutes?"
"My family said they'd visit today."
"They're probably just busy."
The nurse quietly looked away.
She'd heard those words before.
So I stayed.
We talked about her grandchildren, her late husband, and the garden she missed more than anything.
When I finally stood to leave, she smiled.
"You made today feel a little less lonely."
I visited my aunt afterward.
But I kept thinking about the woman in the wrong room.
Sometimes the person who needs you most isn't the one you came to see.

She kept asking about my drive, whether I'd eaten, and if I was still working too hard.
I assumed the pain medication had her confused.
So I just answered gently and let her talk.
About ten minutes later, a nurse walked in, looked at me, then looked at the room number.
"You know this isn't your aunt's room... right?"
My stomach dropped.
I'd been talking to a complete stranger.

I went to the hospital to visit my aunt after surgery.
When I walked into her room, the elderly woman lying in the bed smiled so warmly that I smiled back without thinking.
"I knew you'd come," she whispered.
I didn't recognize her.
Before I could say anything, she reached out and held my hand.

My daughter introduced us to her boyfriend after dating him for almost a year.
The young man was respectful, successful, and clearly crazy about her.
A few months later, he came to our house and asked for permission to marry her.
My husband was ready to say yes immediately.
But I couldn't.
Because there was something about my daughter he didn't know.
Something she had been hiding from him since the day they met.
When I asked if she planned to tell him before the wedding, she said:
“If he really loves me, it shouldn't matter”
I completely disagreed.

Not only did this man reject me, he went straight to my boyfriend and told him EVERYTHING. 😭
I woke up the next morning blocked on everything.
My man changed the locks, changed his number, and told me I had to get my stuff because he was done with me.
To make matters worse, the apartment and all the utilities are in HIS name.
I have been crying ever since because how did I risk my whole relationship over a man I didn’t even get to do anything with???
And before y’all ask…
No, I’m not saying the homeboy is gay just because he rejected me.
BUT WHY DID HE HAVE TO SNITCH THAT FAST??? 😭

So let me tell y’all what happened.
I met my man about 4 months ago, and a few days later he invited me to a game night with some of his friends.
Baby… the SECOND I saw one of his homeboys, I knew I was in trouble. 😩
This man was FINE fine.
I literally sat there thinking, Why didn’t I meet him before I met my man?
Ever since that night, I’ve been lowkey fantasizing about this man.
Fast forward to last weekend, we all went out again.
I caught his homeboy looking at me a few times, so I figured maybe the feeling was mutual.
I pulled him to the side and shot my shot.
Y’ALL...

Most Web3 games are about clicking and collecting rewards.
But @fomopoly_rh brings something more interesting to the table.
Imagine owning virtual land, building your strategy, trading plots, and exploring ways to earn in-game stocks and $DEAL.
Every decision matters. Buy, hold, expand, or sell. Your strategy shapes your journey.
And with the Rarelist campaign approaching its November 5 deadline, this is a good time to explore what Fomopoly is building.
I'm keeping an eye on this one.
Who else is exploring Fomopoly?

Good Morning, Rarelist fam
What makes @rarelistio interesting is its approach to the creator economy.
It's not just about posting more content. It's about discovering projects, sharing meaningful insights, and building real influence through genuine contributions.
With creator campaigns, RARS points, leaderboards, and reward opportunities, Rarelist is creating a space where quality creators can stand out.
I believe the future belongs to creators who bring value, not noise.
Less spam. More creativity. Real contributions.
Let's build something meaningful

Three projects, three different ways to explore Web3.
🔹 @rarelistio is creating opportunities for creators to grow through campaigns, content, and community participation.
🔹 @projectspherexy brings an ambitious vision of a Dyson Sphere, where individually owned cells contribute to a much bigger energy ecosystem.
🔹 @agentdojo explores AI agents through training, battles, and evolution.
What connects these projects is the opportunity to learn while participating.
I'm focusing on understanding the products, sharing useful insights, and contributing genuine value.
Not just chasing points. Building knowledge along the way.
Quality over quantity. Always.**
