After months, I’ve finished an article called “Roots Deeper than Whiteness.” It is about the ways European immigrant groups were socialized to become “white,” what they lost in the process, and how learning this history can support our activism today. whiteawake.org/2018/10/27/ro…
When are @KingJames and @StephenCurry30 going to speak out about the Israeli military's forced starvation of Palestinians in Gaza? The time is right to be #MoreThanAnAthlete.

I’m seeing a great deal of hero-worshiping Trump b/c of the Gaza deal. Hold your horses!
His admin has been vocally saying they’ll allow Israel to resume the genocide after the hostages are out
His team is promising to lift all sanctions on Israeli extremists & settlers & green light major West Bank land theft
His admin promised to resume supplies of 2,000 pound bombs to Israel that will be rained down on Gaza indiscriminately
In his last term, he defunded UNRWA, cut all aid to Palestinians, defunded Palestinian cancer hospitals, gave Israel all of Jerusalem & the Golans, isolated Palestinians & advanced normalization agreements designed to push us into complete irrelevancy.
His new admin is just as dangerous & anti-Palestinian as the last one.
We’re in for an extremely dangerous ride for the next four years. Celebrations are premature!

“If you are a party to the immiseration and the evisceration of life in Palestine, people in this country cannot be free, because this is part of creating a new baseline for human suffering.” @KeeangaYamahtta at @PalFest today.
I was so moved by these words from, @jbethiejean, the Appalachia People’s Union Director at @ShowUp4RJ
We need a vision that forefronts how the well-being of the entire 99% is interdependent and that identifies root causes. We can’t let ourselves be pulled apart anymore.

Comrades are turning on each other because we’re losing. Our task is to build enough power to win. We’ve had victories over past decade. But since nothing anyone’s done has fully “worked” yet we owe each other some humility and grace instead of making our movements small and mean

CNN has played a central role in normalizing this kind of open anti-Arab, anti-Muslim, and anti-Palestinian hate, and it’s sadly totally unsurprising to see such disgusting statements aired so casually on its network now.

This election will decide the temperature on our planet for thousands of years. It will decide if we have a fighting chance to stop the climate crisis or not.

What students and others are doing on campuses right now is exactly how change and progress happens. Don’t let anyone tell you otherwise. We have to get directly in the way of those with political & economic power over and over again until we win the hearts & minds of the masses.
Howard Zinn had bars. And a beautiful quote for every political moment. May we draw on the people’s historian as much as we can in the organizing we do today.
The same tactics and technologies honed to control Palestinians are now being used in US cities and on the US-Mexico border.
When I interviewed @mguariglia, he shared that the US-Israel relationship is just one part of a collaborative global network of militarized policing.
