One thing every coach eventually learns:
Sometimes you’ll care more about a player’s success than they do.
You’ll take the losses harder, the missed opportunities more personally, and want more for them than they want for themselves.
That’s one of the hardest parts of coaching.

One of the biggest problems in football coaching is that we confuse having high expectations with actually having high standards.
Every coach wants toughness, discipline, effort and accountability.
But what does that actually look like on a Tuesday at practice?
What happens when a player jogs through a rep? When a drill isn’t run correctly? When a coach walks past something that should be corrected?
Your standards aren’t defined by what you say in a team meeting.
They’re defined by what you allow, what you correct and what you consistently reinforce.
If 10 coaches have 10 different expectations, you don’t have a standard.
You have 10 opinions.
And your players are left trying to figure out which one matters.
The standard has to be the standard, regardless of who’s coaching.

It’s time to bring this Coach, and this atmosphere back to Doak S. Campbell Stadium.

Great teammates don't protect each other when someone's out of line. Great teammates protect the culture because they realize no one is bigger than the team.

Don’t know enough about situation but…it’s coaches like this that should get coach of the year, not always the one who has 8 D1 kids year in and year out who happens to win the state title.

Lack of discipline in school or at home often leads to lack of discipline in sports. How you do anything is how you do everything!

If you experienced Hudl issues over the weekend, you're not alone.
Coaches, many of whom pay upwards of $15k for the service, had trouble nationwide with Live Replay, and getting their film from the game to show up in their library

Tap GameStrat into the camera you already have, and you get replay that saves to every iPad, doesn’t need the stadium Wi-Fi or cell service, and still works at halftime when the network doesn’t.

Miami/FSU
1) Terrible holding call
2) Miami defender is still grasping for the ball with his left hand over the top of the FSU WRs hands. That was an FSU TD.
FSU got hosed.
Also…that was PI at the end of ND/BYU. Have to throw a flag there.
Refs affecting way too many game changing plays tonight.
@HudlFootball @HudlSupport are we going to get the 2nd half of our game last night- or is that gone in the cloud forever from our focus camera? Sounds like everyones focus cameras turned off at halftime last night???

The best athletes are intrinsically motivated. They don’t just work hard because they have to. They work hard because they want to!

I’m telling you… nothing has more teachable moments in it than the game of football! Coaches, don’t miss opportunities to teach life lessons!
Can we make this man a back up in KC!?
