The Jalen Hurts situation is a textbook example of Outcome Bias.
A superficial blood clot before the London game.
Doctors cleared him. He played.
Suddenly, everybody knows the Eagles should’ve never let him play.
Based on what…
Original diagnosis was not a guarantee that playing = worsening.
Doctors evaluated the risk. Made a decision.
Had Hurts played, recovered and never had another issue, nobody would care.
But because the outcome is what it is, people are treating the original decision as obviously wrong.
That’s Outcome Bias. It wasn’t wrong.
Bad result ≠ bad decision.
You judge decisions by the information available when they were made.
Not by information you only gained afterward.
Otherwise, every risk that works is smart.
And every risk that fails was stupid.
That’s not judgment. That’s hindsight.

Dems misunderstood why Joe Rogan is popular and which helps explain how they got themselves into this Piker cul de sac. The problem with Piker is that he thinks Mao is "a great leader." Whereas part of the appeal of Rogan is that he thinks Mao is something that Hellmann's makes

Again, this is what the left sincerely believe "universal healthcare" means.

We currently use DST for about 7.75 months of out 12. Moving to permanent standard time would mean much less light in the evening for huge portions of the spring and autumn as well as the summer.
It would be horrific. We should either move to permanent DST, or do nothing.
Wow looks fine for where 90% of the population lives! And for the rest of the country, they should change time zones, I'm not being shackled to 430 sunsets for northwestern North Dakota
"For many, the latest the sun would rise in parts of winter would be between 8 a.m. and 9 a.m. In other portions of the country, sunrise would happen closer to – or even after – 10 a.m." thehill.com/homenews/state-w…

Just to clear up any confusion over the Daylight Savings Time vs Standard Time debate caused by the mainstream media.
The sun is out the EXACT same amount time on both. There is ZERO difference. Zilch. Nada. Naught.

If you give people a reason to believe the world is worse, they will not fact check you.
Everyone knows that everything is terrible so even if it’s made up bullshit…“it might as well be true.”

Schwarber career in Plate Appearances when he does homer:
1.000 BA
1.000 OBP
4.000 SLG
5.000 OPS
In other words, Schwarber - when he hits HRs- is the best player in MLB history.

Schwarber career in Plate Appearances when he does NOT homer:
.168 BA
.518 OPS
Now add:
Horrifying Defense / No Defense (DH)
In other words, Schwarber - when he doesn't HR - is the worst player in MLB history.
Let's say he gets to 500 HR.
500 bombs is obviously Huge.
Is it enough to make Schwarber HOF worthy, given his MASSIVE deficiencies in EVERY other part of the game?
The answer, emphatically is NO.
