pretty big update: there's now splits by pitch type available for hitters on their popout rows and in a designated leaderboard under hitters > splits. You can also create different combinations of splits on each splits tabs + new plots, new filters, and a few new visible stats
Some news for those of you that use my app: I’m rolling out an improved version with a ton of new features, including splits, customizable hitter & pitcher comps, plots on each page, updated SEAGER/damage/pitch models, sample size adjustments, and more. py-players.streamlit.app/

Bat speed can offer insights into players improving, aging, or fighting through injuries. I sorted bat speed gainers and losers year over year, with blurbs and early ‘27 ADP: Bat Speed Gainers & Droppers in 2026 michaelcecchini.substack.com…

Just one guy’s perspective, but the October hunger for fantasy baseball drafts next season is higher than I’ve ever seen. We gonna be alright.

How can you not figure this out?
I was sitting in traffic when my sister reached over and pressed this little button with a car and an arrow on it. I always assumed it was just another setting to make the AC colder. She looked at me and said, "That's not exactly what it does." 😂 I've been driving for years and never really understood when you're supposed to use this button. Does anyone actually know what it's for?

MLB Payrolls of the remaining teams, ranked. Guardians: 29th Rays: 28th White Sox: 27th Brewers: 19th Dodgers: 1st So one out of the top 5 teams left spends money, and apparently that means we need a salary cap?

Lineup decisions and batting order in general often gets overblown in terms of its importance, but it matters a lot when one player gets five at-bats rather than four and it was Trent Grisham instead of Ben Rice with a runner on 2nd in a one run game

Another quick update: -you can look for an MLB profile/pitch in MiLBers now, while also filtering that results pool by handedness, playing time, or level -added some easy to use presets on all 3 comp pages -a couple new pitcher columns for breaking ball/offspeed velo + usage

➡️ Murekami homer ➡️ Colson Montgomery goes 1-2 to full count and rips a single vs a Cy Young finalist Couldn’t be more ironic to have two players constantly criticized for an inability to put bat on ball - doing exactly that - in the playoffs. Even if it’s only for this small fraction of time

Carson Benge - respectfully - believes he is deserving of the National League Rookie of the Year award: "I don't know [Sal Stewart], but he seems like a great dude. He's a Jesus man, which I love. He seems like a great person. But I feel like I would be deserving of the award in the most humble way possible. I don't mean to come off cocky. I think I deserve it. I think I showed in the whole season, in all facets of the game, that I did a pretty good job showcasing my talent, but there's definitely other good rookies out there." (via @NYPost_Mets)

Table below shows five of @TheReal_NFC overall formats - Main Event, OC, DC, 50's and Auction Championship ➡️ who led the most weeks, eventual winner, how many weeks the eventual winner led and the first ending week the eventual winner held the #1 spot ➡️ Hall of Famer held down the top spot the longest ➡️ don't fret if you're not in the top spot early in the season (and don't get comfortable if you are)- the later you take the lead was the better option for 2026
