Last year, the provincial government hiked property taxes in Alberta’s largest cities by as much as 30%. Now that they're losing seats for ignoring the affordability crisis they helped create, they're extending that tax hike, minus a few dollars a month.
Let's be clear: the UCP isn't looking out for Albertans. They're looking out for themselves.

I’m still processing something that happened today, and I am fucking LIVID.
People with Long COVID have to be among the most ruthlessly exploited patients on the planet.
The grift is absolutely shameless.
These predators enter patient communities, listen to people describe their suffering, their cognitive difficulties, their desperation for relief… and see a BUSINESS OPPORTUNITY.
They hear “brain fog” and think “easy target.”
Let me tell you something: Some of the most intelligent people I’ve ever met have Long COVID.
Cognitive impairment is not stupidity. Desperation is not gullibility. And chronic illness is not your fucking business model.
We’ve got people discussing serious medical conditions, including chronic kidney failure, and you’re swooping in to sell them $200 “frequency-infused” sugar pills disguised as a detox protocol?
Are you FUCKING KIDDING ME?
These people need medical care. They need research. They need treatments. They need someone to actually listen.
They don’t need another parasite trying to monetize their suffering.
If you’re lurking in chronic illness communities looking for vulnerable people to sell your pseudoscientific bullshit to, GET THE FUCK OUT.
Go back to whatever cave you crawled out of, you fucking vampires.
Sick people are not your sales leads.
And everyone watching this happen should be calling it out.

Yup UCP is caught in a nefarious gerrymander that would make their "intellectual master" Donald happy. Gluing an urban riding with NDP strength to a hunk of SW rural foothills an hour's drive away, where they feel they are better liked. May it all blow up in their face.

They are using the Code of Conduct to get rid of people's memberships? Are people aware of how many of the MLAs and Ministers behave behind closed doors...

How does someone with limited education, whose only work experience was at a sand & gravel pit & as a staffer for Jason Kenney, qualify them to become a minister discussing Canada’s judicial system? We can do better, Alberta.
🤣
Classic UCP DEI-hire @DanWilliamsAB here thinks judges need to be “depoliticized”.
Dan’s biography notes he likes home schooling & charter schools, dislikes libraries, and worked at a gravel pit before opining on the principle of judicial independence.
Dan makes laws.

The UCP certainly put the "big" in big government.
The degree to which they want to be involved in the lives of Albertans must surely be unprecedented.

So...how do we demand more details about voter data breaches, secretive conversations with separatists, playoff game luxury boxes, gerrymandering? #UCP #abed #ableg #cdnpoli
The bill would standardize school report cards, demand more details on how teachers spend PD days and create a process for dealing with unresolved parent concerns.

This government likes to rename but object to people's pronouns.
Albertans will no longer have to change their clocks as the province will be on permanent daylight time, known as Alberta Time, starting Nov. 1. (No it's not Alberta Time it is DST UTC - 6)

Take a moment to watch!
You deserve an Emergency Medicine physician when you need one. Decisions to reform the health care system need to be informed by the physicians on the front lines. Tell your MLA informed reform matters. informedreform.ca/you-deserv…

This govt’s proposed “snitch line” for teachers is no more than a nod to separatists. @ABDanielleSmith needs their vote. PERIOD.
This war on teachers is Smith, still seeking revenge for being fired from a school board. Maybe she should have stayed out of other people’s trash.
Parents deserve clear, consistent information about their child’s education and confidence that their concerns will be heard.
That’s why we’re introducing Bill 35. If passed, these changes would establish provincial standards for report cards, require greater transparency about how PD and other non-instructional days are used, and require school boards to have processes for addressing parental concerns that remain unresolved. We also plan to develop an online tool to help families navigate concerns.
These changes are about strengthening transparency, accountability and parental involvement across Alberta’s education system.
