Now Google Play has 30 days to free ALL DEVELOPERS to offer competing payments in the USA - as Apple is required to do - free of scare screens, junk fees, and restrictions!
With super strong precedent in Epic v Apple, there's no room for malicious compliance this time.
Google does NOT get a rehearing of its appellate loss to Epic Games, neither by the 3-judge panel nor by an enlarged panel ("en banc"). Not a single 9th Circuit judge requested a vote on Google's petition.
Now Google has only one last chance: the Supreme Court. Otherwise Google must comply with the injunction. The motion for a stay pending a Supreme Court petition was denied. The 9th Circuit just extended some compliance deadlines, but only gradually so. Google will now presumably ask the Supreme Court for emergency intervention.

Important win.
A court rejected Google’s effort to overturn a unanimous jury verdict finding that Google illegally monopolized key markets.
The court also noted that digital monopolies can enjoy the fruits of their illegal conduct even after it stops.
This means that a remedy may need to go beyond just stopping the illegal behavior so that the market can truly be opened up to competition.
