I listen through the entire conversation.
That was an excellent representation of the Engineers.
Well articulated! 👌

SO WHAT would have been the benefit if the building had occupation certificate? Does obtaining an occupation certificate prevents a defectively constructed building from collapsing?
What the Governor is conveniently and deliberately not saying is that 4 additional floors were allegedly added to this building. Who approved it at the county? Did the county carry out its mandated regular inspection of the building during construction and what were the findings? Show us the records.
Let him address substantive issue…. #Eastleigh

Developers, regulators & engineers must uphold standards. Citizens must demand accountability and report unsafe buildings and drainage.
Investigate the ground. Manage the water. Enforce the standards. Protect lives.

Eng. Job Robert Otieno: Building collapses in Kenya are often caused by poor workmanship, inadequate ground investigations, cutting corners, and the use of substandard construction materials.

The University of Nairobi has been declared technically insolvent due to Sh20 billion in debt.
The debt is linked to reduced government funding, high operating costs and unpaid bills, including staff pensions

Charles Hinga: You don’t build houses in one year; you take two to three years to complete a scheme. We were collecting about 6.5 billion in 12 months; that is 84 billion a year. If you have signed contracts of over 800 billion, you need additional resources. The additional resources come from finishing the units, selling them, and recycling the money. You cannot recycle the money until you finish #CitizenMondayReport
