"Wellerman" (Soon May the Wellerman Come) – a traditional sea shanty with a strong nautical spirit, brought to life by VoicePlay and Anthony Gargiula in a creative a cappella arrangement.
Using nothing but their voices, they create powerful rhythms, captivating harmonies, and an infectious energy that makes you feel as if you're aboard a ship sailing across the open sea.

Mel Robbins’ 5 second rule starts with a hard truth: you will never feel like doing the things you need to do.
The rule is simple. The moment you think of something you know you should do, like going for a walk, count backwards 5-4-3-2-1 and move before you hit one. No debating. If you give it more than five seconds, your brain starts making excuses, autopilot kicks in, and you talk yourself out of it.
Why backwards? Counting down takes your attention off the excuse and works like a launch signal, so you act before the old habit wins.
What’s interesting to me is the distinction at the end. She isn’t saying ignore what you want. She’s saying ignore how you feel about it right now. Those are very different instructions.
Five seconds is a short window. A lot of lives get decided inside it.

Breathing while black…
A Harvard professor came home from a trip to China and found his front door jammed.
He forced it open. A neighbour called the police.
Henry Louis Gates Jr. was arrested on his own porch, in his own house, holding his own ID.
He is one of the most famous historians in America.
Cambridge, Massachusetts, 16 July 2009. Gates, 58, had just flown back from China. His front door would not open. He and his driver shouldered it.
A passer-by called it in as a possible break-in.
Sergeant James Crowley arrived. Gates was inside his own house by then. He produced his Harvard ID and his driver's licence with that address on it.
What happened next is disputed by both men and always will be. Crowley said Gates was uncooperative and loud. Gates said he was asked to step outside, understood exactly what was happening, and said so — including asking the officer for his name and badge number, repeatedly, and not getting it.
He was arrested for disorderly conduct. On his own property. A fifty-eight-year-old man walking with a cane.
The charge was dropped within days. Cambridge later acknowledged the arrest was regrettable.
Barack Obama was asked about it at a press conference and said the police had "acted stupidly," which caused a political firestorm large enough that he convened the famous "beer summit" at the White House with Gates and Crowley to defuse it.
And that is where the story usually stops, with three men and some beer on a lawn.
Here is what it is actually about.
Henry Louis Gates has a MacArthur fellowship, dozens of honorary degrees and a chair at Harvard. He has made television series about tracing Black ancestry. He is about as protected as a Black man in America can be.
And none of it worked on his own porch.
Every Black professional who has ever been told that respectability is the shield watched that arrest and understood what it meant.
Gates said afterwards that the experience changed what he thought he knew about his own country, and he has spent some of the time since working on criminal justice.
If it does not work for him, it does not work.

AMD CEO Lisa Su just went after Nvidia's $4,000 AI box using a $1,499 machine the size of a lunchbox.
Holding it up on stage with one hand, she ran a model with 235 billion parameters live, with no data center, cloud or rented GPU behind it.
The surprise is the chip. Inside is AMD's Ryzen AI Max+ 395, which became the first x86 processor whose CPU and GPU draw from one shared pool of 128GB of memory. That one design choice lets a desktop handle models that once needed a server rack.
On Linux, 110GB of that pool can go to the GPU. An RTX 5090 offers 32GB. A 4090 offers 24GB. So this box has more than three times either card, in a case about as thick as a paperback.
The number that stunned the room: on DeepSeek R1 inference, the chip ran more than 3x faster than an Nvidia RTX 5080. A $1,499 desktop beating a $1,000 graphics card on real AI work. For a decade, Nvidia told the world that serious AI meant Nvidia hardware. AMD just made it a desktop item at half the cost.
Now the math. A heavy AI user today might pay for Claude Code Max ($200), ChatGPT Pro ($200), Cursor ($20) and Gemini ($20). That adds up to $5,280 a year. At that rate, the box covers its cost within months, then keeps running at no extra charge.
The setup: install Ollama, pull Qwen3 235B, and aim Claude Code at localhost. The interface stays the same. But nothing leaves the machine, there is no per-request bill, and no provider slows you down at 3am when you finally sit down to build.
This is where every AI subscription starts to look optional. Lawyers worry less about leaks to OpenAI. Developers stop staring at the token counter. Founders stop renting H100s for prototypes they abandon because of the bill.
Whoever gets there among the first thousand will own private AI consulting for the next two years.
