Do you demand that Hamas or the Palestinian Authority hold fair and just elections? They force their people into this conflict by giving them no choices when it comes to their present and their futures. It is far more harmful than anything an Israeli politician may decide.

It seems to me those who rejected or refused Israeli citizenship over the past few decades are the ones who cannot vote, and are able to vote in their own elections in Gaza and The West Bank, which their authorities have not held for decades.

While I may underestimate, I think many overestimate. Both sides have to reckon with their own horrific decisions. Israel has done plenty wrong, but I do not fall for Hamas propaganda that frames this as more violent or horrific than other conflicts that are basically ignored

It is our duty to support them against bad actors, and Hamas, Hezbollah, and Iran have been horrific influences on the region, devastating even. Russia and China support Iran and their proxies to sow chaos for democracy. We help them because without them the fight will come to us

Finally, while the war has been brutal, it has not been a horrific slaughter. Many are dead, but about 1/3 of those killed were Hamas. And while it has no doubt been devastating and those who are innocent deserve peace and self determination, Israel is our ally…(cont)

That being said, your question of “why can’t Israel just but the weapons” is interesting because this policy os our blanket policy for all foreign aid. All countries that we give aid to must spend the vast majority of that aid on American weapons and goods.

That’s not exactly what he said, he said they preemptively struck Iran knowing that they would attack us in response to an Israeli attack. And yes, while I may disagree with the initial premise of the war, I do think the Iranian regime has been a plague on this earth for years
