Cars that enter the intersection without being able to clear it, and that end up blocking the box, are a way bigger obstruction downtown than late crossers.
The ticket for starting the walk across a downtown Toronto intersection, between 4-6pm, when the red hand is flashing & the clock is at “2”, should be $46,932 for a FIRST offence.

Is this supposed to look bad? I’d love a corner store or restaurant I could walk to in my neighbourhood.

The NDP has to overcome the vote split between the anti-Ford parties that elects Ford. So you'll need Liberal and Green voters. Show leadership and stop pretending that elections are fair and neutral. Make deals within the Anti-Ford block to get power and then make voters whole to disappear vote splits. Be realistic and pragmatic and do voters a solid.
Thank you, Monique Taylor. You poured your heart into this campaign the way you've poured it into Hamilton your entire life, and you nearly doubled our vote share in Hamilton East–Stoney Creek. Tonight also made something very clear: the next election is a two-way fight between the Ontario NDP and Doug Ford's PCs. We're just getting started. See you soon, Premier.

Your job is not foreign policy, nor do Ontarians give a rat's ass about your bizarre obsession with alcohol. They want to know what's on your cell phone. They want to know why you're ruining public education and healthcare. They want their groceries and rent to be affordable.
I’ll be joining CNN’s @wolfblitzer at 11:30 AM to make clear that the only way for the U.S. to get its alcohol back onto Ontario shelves is to drop its tariffs on Canada.

One of the great parts of proportional representation, when we eventually get there live every other advanced democracy, is that majority governments will be exceedingly rare. The best government work comes from compromise.
I don't think it's ethical to build a majority government through floor crossings and I think democracy works better when we have minority governments with opposition MPs working together to best reflect the interests of Canadians who voted them in and scrutinizing legislation

This is *monstrous* for so many reasons. Forced unnecessary and unwanted major surgery. After putting her on trial live *during labour* from the hospital bed. Without legal support. Truly unconscionable and barbaric.
THREAD: Cherise Doyley was in her 12th hour of contractions at the hospital when a tablet was brought to her bedside. On the screen was a Zoom call with a judge and several lawyers and doctors. She was in court, a nurse told her. The reason? For failing to agree to a C-section.

Sadly these are currently able to be sold in Canada, but if you're trying to protect yourself elsewhere, consider this added layer of defense.

IMO, it's a joke that one major party in the US has built a platform of deporting immigrants, and when asked how to solve the housing crisis, they promised, having no other policy besides deportation, that if we deport enough immigrants, the cost of housing will come down. The cost of housing in urban areas like San Francisco and NYC is simply not driven by illegal immigrants. We are not addressing this problem seriously.

Happy Warrior Entertainment is so proud to have produced this incredible project. Now, more than ever, we need the wisdom of our intellects, the patriotism of our citizens, and the passion and talents of those who still believe in the American experiment. I am deeply grateful to Timothy Snyder for his 20 Lessons On Tyranny and for talents of the brilliant John Lithgow for bringing them to life. Great thanks to David Bender for his vision, the support of Abigail Disney, Susan Disney Lord, and Timothy Disney, and the imagination and direction of Sean McGowan, the producer of the PoliticsGirl Project.

The @NDP hold the balance of power. @MarkJCarney says he's open to electoral reform. And a citizens' assembly on electoral reform has been official @liberal_party policy since their 2023 convention. What are we waiting for? Let’s end first-past-the-post now! #Election2025
