Al Jazeera has published the names of every journalist killed since Oct 7th. 231 Palestinian journalists have been slaughtered in Gaza. A whole generation of reporters wiped out while many of their colleagues in the West simply shrugged.

In the absence of any spine in taking on Israeli Gaza atrocities in most of our media, it is left to @PrivateEyeNews to reveal this sort of information that would once have received in depth coverage @BBCPanorama & Sunday Times Insight. Even now when the true scale of the Gaza Genocide is becoming widely recognised, @BBCNews and most newspapers shamefully recycle IDF propaganda without fact checking or critical investigation.

In 2020, there was one person worth over $100 billion. Today at the end of Biden's term there are 16 of them.

Biden: "I want to warn the country of some things that give me great concern. That's the dangerous concentration of power in the hands of a very few ultra wealthy people and the dangerous consequences if their abuse of power is left unchecked. Today, an oligarchy is taking shape"

We are deeply relieved to hear the news that a ceasefire and hostage deal has been reached. We have watched with horror on our phones and our televisions as the destruction in Gaza unfolded for 16 months.

A beautiful vigil tonight for Alaa outside 10 Downing Street. Thank you to all the people that came out to support Alaa’s mother Laila on her 81st day of hunger strike and to call on @Keir_Starmer to Bring Alaa Home #FreeAlaa

Climate change turns out to be rather more disruptive to ordinary workers trying to get to work than climate protestors. And it is only just beginning.

Ta-Nehisi Coates: Turning the conversation about Palestine into a question of "manners" or "tough interviews" is "bullshit" because "The topic is apartheid. Apartheid is the topic."

Today Alaa completes 5 years unjustly in prison. The full length of his sentence after a manifestly illegitimate trial. Alaa should have been released today, but the Egyptian authorities claim he still has more than two years in prison! ENOUGH! #FreeAlaa

A few years ago I went to a pig sanctuary and most of the pigs were stoned from eating green acorns. This one, Wilbur, couldn’t stand up and was too big to lift, so the staff had to leave him in this bush and wait for him to sober up.
brat summer is over. now it's time for pannage autumn, the ancient medieval custom of releasing your pigs in the woods so they can eat the chestnuts and acorns that fall to the forest floor.

"An arms embargo is an act of solidarity”. On Friday, as @DavidLammy visited Israel, we gathered at Downing Street & the Greater Manchester Combined Authority HQ calling for an end to the UK’s arming of Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza. Actions led jointly with @FreeJerusalem1.

this pic cant do justice to sheer size of the crowd out tonight. 10,000 easy. it’s been a horrifying, exhausting, terrifying couple of weeks, but the way communities have come out tonight should fill us with some hope. the fight isn’t over, but fuck me, we will win it.

If you live in a city where the turnout is incredible, that is amazing. You still need to get organised so that a) your community stays that way and b) to support other towns and cities, where things aren't quite as easy.
