Evidence from the Covid Inquiry is now overwhelming — @MattHancock's failures during the pandemic led to thousands of avoidable deaths.
Removing Hancock from the Privy Council would be a small step towards accountability.

The Daily Telegraph is describing Healey's budget as 'anti-middle class'. All I can say is that it didn't put £500 a month on anyone's mortgage.

Last week's Covid Inquiry report into care was a devastating verdict on @MattHancock's failures during the pandemic.
His response: silence.
He doesn't care.
Show him we still do; sign our petition to hold him accountable.

Simon Heffer’s review of Liz Truss’s new book Bank Job in the Telegraph.
‘Of all the books I have ever reviewed that purported to offer a serious thesis, this is without question the most deranged. If you are seeking a Christmas present for someone you really don’t like, give them a copy.’

Johnson was never fit to be anywhere near a government never mind a Prime Minister - ,

No Donald, I can't, because he didn't. However, your uncle was a clever man. You just got the surname - and a chronically inflated ego, along with verbal diarrhoea.

So just at the point Baroness Hallet plonks the unecessary deaths of thousands of elderly firmly in his lap, Johnson announces he's off to the US. Coincidence? I think not.

The people who seem to be really angry about the fact that HMRC will be able to directly recover debts from bank accounts ,are the same people who were positively ecstatic when the same policy only applied to the DWP. Just an observation

The personal allowance has been stuck at £12,570 since 2021.
And it’s staying there until 2031.
If it had kept up with inflation, it would be around £17,470.
The 40% tax threshold would be around £70k instead of £50,270.
Your salary goes up.
The tax-free allowance doesn’t.
That’s how you get a tax rise without announcing a tax rise.

I disagree with Piers Morgan on probably most things, but he was the ONLY TV interviewer forensically dismantling the craven incompetence of the handling of the pandemic during those high-death times.
His interviews with Hancock & Whately were prime examples. #CovidInquiry

Andy Burnham's 'looking at' scrapping the gas standing charge, the £108 a year you pay for the privilege of being connected to a bill. In Westminster, 'looking at' means roughly the same as when your landlord said it about the damp you reported in 2023.
🚨 NEW: Andy Burnham says he's looking at removing standing charges from gas bills after the approval of Jackdaw gas field

Here she is Helen Whately, Minister for Health and Social Care at the time of the covid pandemic.
Piers Morgan dismantles Whately when she could not answer the questions re the care homes crisis. She, along with many others are a disgrace.

During the Covid-19 Inquiry a civil servant described the number of COVID-related deaths of elderly people as ‘“a generational slaughter within care homes.”’ This is a terrible indictment of Boris Johnson, Matt Hancock, Helen Whately and everyone who allowed it to happen.
