Your question is as old as the faith itself. Augustine of Hippo (400ish AD) wrote that the New Testament is concealed in the Old and the Old Testament in the New. He argued that God acts like a doctor who changes the medication (laws and covenants) based on the disease state (sin). In his view, God's severity in the Old Testament was necessary to prepare stubborn, ancient people for Christ's Grace. Thomas Aquinas (1200s AD) looked at it a bit differently. He argued that the Old Law was given to stop external actions through fear of punishment in an undeveloped society. (similar to how an ancient parent would raise a child) The New Law, ushered in by Jesus, transforms the heart and relies on love and reason (similar to how an ancient parent would relate to their older children). C.S Lewis (1940s-60s) wrote two amazing books "Reflections on the Psalms" and "Mere Christianity." I highly recommend you at least read "Mere Christianity." Most of all, I offer this not because I'm pedantic but because I want you to know you're not the only person to struggle with these questions

Think about that. Why doesn't he sue anyone that calls him a child sexual rapist? Think about that. Why doesn't he sue anyone who calls him a child sexual rapist? Boys and girls alike. Come on, let's start the discovery process by releasing the Epstein files.
He is too guilty to sue.

If for no other reason, vote against every damn Republican on the ballot because of this. Because of this disgrace, this shame. What happened to Alex Pretti should never happen in America.๐Ÿ‘‡
Alex Pretti's father: Our son was shot and killed by the government, federal immigration agents, on January 24th, 2026. We learned about his death from the media as we saw him being shot repeatedly in the back after helping a woman from his community. This was not a protest that Alex was at. His hands were in the air, and his face was on the ground when he was executed by ICE agents. We know exactly what our eyes saw. No one from the federal government called us on that day. But they did go on TV to tell lies about Alex. No one has called us since. No one has recanted those lies.

Democrats! Get ready to turn in those GOP election fraudsters. I'm sure you can put that $1,000,000 to good use!
Trump: Anybody reporting Voter Fraud in the past Elections, or the upcoming 2026 Midterm Election, will be paid $1,000,000 upon the arrest and conviction of those that created the Fraud!

Much easier for the media to lock in on faux Cheesecake Factory outrage than a House Dem report indicating Todd Blanche basically told Ghislaine Maxwell "stop talking" when she was about to discuss a girl that could more closely tie Trump to Epstein

"Most journalists who are in the business of unearthing new information have more than a few stories of discovering the fruits of their labor in the Times, as though it had fallen like manna." ๐Ÿ‘‡
NEW: The Timesโ€™s Credit Crisis A recent New York Times front-page feature on chemical plants in the Trump era had deep reporting, stark data visuals, and an uncanny resemblance to a smaller outletโ€™s earlier investigation. This research offers more evidence of how #microplastics may harm our health. States are leading the way in protecting people from harmful exposures. We need strong, health-based protections that stop plastic pollution at the source and prevent harm before it happens.
For decades, scientists believed that plastics were some of the safest materials around. Now, a new study shows just how flawed that assumption was. A range of studies have found links between microplastic exposure and various health problems. wapo.st/4i5Up9O

Tobacco, fossil fuels and now microplastics: these industries have long known exactly how they've harmed us. This is more proof that we need better regulatory oversight, because corporations can't be trusted to monitor themselves.

Microplastics arenโ€™t just an environmental problem anymore. In a new study of 61 adults, researchers detected micro- and nanoplastics in 84% of patients experiencing STEMI heart attacks, compared with 40% of patients with chronic coronary syndromes and 32% of those with healthy coronary arteries. Higher plastic levels were also associated with higher inflammatory markers. The study does not prove that microplastics cause heart attacks. But it adds to a growing body of evidence showing that these particles are making their way into the bloodstream โ€” and may be showing up more often in people with serious cardiovascular disease. Weโ€™re breathing them in. Weโ€™re eating them. Weโ€™re drinking them. Now researchers are finding them in the circulation supplying the heart.

Researchers from Columbia University and collaborating institutions found that common plastic particles can spontaneously generate reactive oxygen species when interacting with water, challenging the idea that plastics are chemically inert. Published in Nature, the study used laboratory experiments and molecular calculations to investigate the chemistry occurring at microplastic-water interfaces. The team observed the production of hydroxyl radicals, highly reactive molecules capable of damaging biological components under certain conditions. The activity varied with the chemical properties of the plastic surface. These findings suggest a possible mechanism through which microplastics could alter proteins and harm cells. However, the experiments do not establish the extent of resulting harm in humans under everyday exposure conditions. Further research is needed to determine the health implications. #microplastic #pollution #health
