Something’s off with Ossoff.
As recently as 2020 he demanded that America fund Israel’s “qualitative military edge”. He got into London School of Economics thanks to a recommendation by an IDF officer & Israeli politician. He wants to increase US-Israeli military spending.

Now that midterms are over, I just want to be clear that I will never forgive Jon Ossoff for signing the LAKEN RILEY ACT, one of the most racist legislations in the last decade. Do yall know how many moms were deported bc we couldn’t get them out even after charges were dropped?!

I agree, every national Democrat should pivot themselves to Talarico’s positions immediately.

Jon Ossoff not only voted to officially make calling Israel "racist", an antisemitic act at the federal level, he also voted not once but twice to defund UNRWA and starve Gaza.
I am not "opposed" to Jon Ossoff, Jon Ossoff is my enemy.

So glad the party that launched a genocidal war in Palestine has defeated the party that launched a genocidal war in Iran. Excited to see what new genocides they'll come up with.
THIS
Every four years, the most sophisticated population-management exercise in human history takes place.
Billions of dollars spent.
Months of coverage.
A genuine, visceral, deeply felt sense among the population that this one matters. That this time the stakes are real. That the other side winning would be catastrophic.
And in the morning after, whoever wins: the military budget goes up, the Wall Street executives keep their bonuses, the pharmaceutical companies keep their pricing power, the weapons go to the same client states, and the machinery of empire runs its next cycle.
The genius is not that people are fooled.
The genius is that people are given something real to fight about: abortion, guns, immigration, crime, education, race, culture. Meanwhile the structural questions, the ones about who owns the economy and who decides when and where force is used, are quietly removed from the menu.

Reminds me of when Democrats had a super majority under Obama and all they did was destroy Libya.

When you listen to James Talarico, you realize that last night's results were not just a rejection of Trump and Israel's Iran war, but also a rejection of a Democratic Party led by people like Biden, Blinken, and Sullivan:
"I've never taken money from AIPAC, and I'm not taking money from AIPAC in this campaign. Seeing what's happening in Gaza makes me sick to my stomach as a teacher, as a Christian, as a human being"
This is his message, and he won in Texas!

I will forever remained convinced that most United States Americans, regardless of their political persuasion, fundamentally believe that their lives are worth more than the others in the world.

I don’t believe Democrats will ever advance policy that meaningfully challenges our corporate duopoly but it is very fun to see republicans cry

We live in an empire that has the luxury to have two political parties pretending to have drastic political economic differences, while in reality, they both support capitalism, imperialism, settler colonialism, war, dispossession, state-sanctioned death, and destruction.

Welcome to hope and change 2.0
Brace yourself for more war and Wall Street bailouts.
Tonight, the American people sent a clear message — they want a politics that brings people together rather than divides them, and leaders who offer concrete solutions to the challenges they face.
These results were only possible because outstanding candidates stepped forward in every region of the country — including in areas once considered long shots. They came from different backgrounds and represented a range of political perspectives, but were united by shared values, a belief in public service, and a commitment to putting the people of their districts and states first.
We also owe a debt of gratitude to the thousands of election officials and volunteers from both parties who helped ensure a smooth election and carried out one of the most essential functions of our democracy.
While this administration has another two years in office, our job now is to roll up our sleeves, make changes wherever we have the power to do so, prevent further damage, and lay the groundwork for the future.
