This is a short video capturing the attack on @sowore and members of his team in Ekiti State. What makes this incident even more disturbing is the fact that DSS and police deleted the CCTV footage in an attempt to destroy evidence and shield those responsible.

In case you are still in doubt! These criminals and their backers must be arrested immediately!
BREAKING: MAJOR BREAKTHROUGH AS CHILLING ATTACK VIDEO REVEALS FACES OF ATTACKERS IN BRUTAL ASSAULT ON @SOWORE, TEAM IN ADO-EKITI Fresh video evidence has emerged showing the faces of individuals identified as participants in the October 30, 2026, armed attack on leaders and me, as well as members of the African Action Congress (AAC) and members of his team in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State, who assaulted one of our team members. The breakthrough comes amid disturbing revelations that CCTV recordings from Tawakalitu Restaurant, where the attack occurred, have reportedly been completely erased after police officers and the DSS took possession of the equipment and took it to Government House only to return it this evening without any images. Today, I contacted the Ekiti State Commissioner of Police, Michael Falade; the Ado-Ekiti Central Police Station DPO, Mustapha Mohammed; and the state's Rapid Response Squad (RRS) Commander to demand updates on the investigation. Shockingly, the officers claimed there was "no complainant" because I had not submitted a written statement, despite police rescuing the victims, taking them to their hospital, arresting suspects, and recovering weapons, stolen phones, and other devices. I questioned the officers about stolen phones electronically traced to the Governor's Lodge and the missing CCTV recordings; they denied knowledge and abruptly ended their conversations. In another development, Tawakalitu Restaurant management reportedly confirmed that a DPO returned the CCTV equipment, but the recordings had been completely wiped. The management refused to identify the officer responsible for returning the equipment. This is an indication of a coordinated cover-up by the @PoliceNG hierarchy in Ekiti State However, the newly recovered video provides crucial leads in identifying individuals involved in the attack. Their identities and roles need a credible independent body to investigate, and we call for the removal of the CP and other officers involved in the cover-up. SEE BELOW THE BREAKTHROUGH VIDEO SHOWING THE FACES OF ATTACKERS IN ACTION. #RevolutionNow

PRESS STATEMENT YOU CANNOT BEAT, BLEED AND THEN GASLIGHT THE VICTIMS! WE REJECT EKITI POLICE NARRATIVE, DEMAND REMOVAL OF THE CP AND JUSTICE FOR SOWORE; ALL PERPETRATORS MUST BE IDENTIFIED AND BROUGHT TO BOOK IMMEDIATELY! October 30, 2026 The Take It Back Movement @TIBmovement unequivocally condemns the brutal attack on the presidential candidate of the African Action Congress @aacparty , Omoyele Sowore @sowore , the National Chairman, Pastor Samuel Ajeigbe and other members of our movement in Ado-Ekiti, Ekiti State. We are outraged not only by the violence inflicted on our members but also by the disgraceful attempt by the Ekiti State Police @PoliceNG Command to minimise the gravity of the incident through an official statement that insults the intelligence of Nigerians and compounds the trauma of the victims. Let us be absolutely clear: SOWORE AND HIS ENTOURAGE WERE ATTACKED. THERE WAS NO ALTERCATION! The injuries sustained by Sowore, as evident in the images and accounts emerging from the incident, are deeply disturbing. The severity of the injuries makes the Police Command's description of the incident as a mere "altercation" and the injuries as "minor" particularly outrageous. What exactly does the Police Command take Nigerians for? Must victims of violence be reduced to statistics and their injuries downplayed before the Police can acknowledge the seriousness of an attack? Is the official responsibility of the Police now to manage public perception on behalf of those suspected of perpetrating violence rather than investigate and bring offenders to justice? The Police Command must understand that its responsibility is to protect citizens, investigate crimes and apprehend perpetrators, not to trivialise violence or manufacture convenient narratives. A press release cannot erase injuries. Official titles cannot whitewash violence. And the authority of the Police cannot be used to intimidate victims into silence. We are particularly concerned by the public account given by Sowore, who stated that the Commissioner of Police, CP Falade Adegoroye Michael, personally visited the scene and witnessed the aftermath of the attack, including the injuries sustained. Yet, the same Police Command subsequently issued a statement reducing the incident to an altercation. Furthermore, the allegations raised concerning complicity, misconduct involving security personnel must not be swept aside. They must be independently and thoroughly investigated. Nobody, including the Commissioner of Police or any other public official, should be above scrutiny or accountability. We also condemn the failure of the Ekiti State Government, under Governor Biodun Oyebanji, to ensure an environment where citizens and political actors can exercise their constitutional freedoms without fear of violence. The Governor must publicly address this incident and demonstrate that the protection of lives and fundamental rights in Ekiti State is not conditional on political affiliation. The All Progressives Congress @OfficialAPCNg (APC), as the ruling party in the state, must equally be reminded that political power does not confer ownership of public spaces or the right to intimidate, assault or silence political opponents. No political party has the licence to turn Nigeria into a territory where dissent attracts violence and opposition voices are treated as enemies. Nigeria is not a one-party state. Ekiti State is not the private property of the APC. And no amount of political intimidation will extinguish the constitutional right of Nigerians to organise, protest, campaign and demand accountability from those in power. If anyone believes that attacking Omoyele Sowore or members of the Take It Back Movement will weaken our resolve, they have fundamentally misunderstood the character of this struggle. We will not retreat. We will not surrender our rights. We will not be intimidated into silence.

We place the Ekiti State Police Command, the Ekiti State Government and the relevant federal security authorities on notice: the world is watching, Nigerians are watching, and the Take It Back Movement will not allow this matter to be buried beneath official statements and political manoeuvring. YOU CANNOT SILENCE DISSENT WITH VIOLENCE. YOU CANNOT ERASE BRUTALITY WITH A PRESS RELEASE. YOU CANNOT INJURE PEOPLE AND THEN DICTATE HOW THEY DESCRIBE THEIR PAIN! IDENTIFY THE PERPETRATORS. ARREST THEM. PROSECUTE THEM. LET JUSTICE BE DONE! SIGNED: Sanyaolu Juwon National Coordinator, TAKE IT BACK MOVEMENT

The Commissioner of @PoliceNG in Ekiti State, CP Falade Adegoroye Michael, personally visited the scene of the brutal attack against us in Ado-Ekiti today. He saw firsthand the extensive injuries we sustained, yet he has the audacity to issue a despicable statement describing a coordinated, violent attack as a mere “altercation.” THERE WAS NO ALTERCATION! WE WERE ATTACKED! The Commissioner saw the injuries, witnessed the aftermath of the violence, and was fully aware of the seriousness of what happened. Yet his Command has chosen to trivialize the attack, even describing the injuries as “minor.” No wonder allegations have emerged that the Commissioner of Police himself was involved. This is despicable! Video shows the CP leaving the emergency room after observing the extensive injuries.

I am alarmed by news of the kidnap of the presidential candidate of the AAC, @sowore, by yet to be identified armed men in Ekiti State. Sowore was attacked alongside his supporters by the rampaging armed men. The Inspector General of Police should urgently take drastic measures to secure the safety and release of Sowore. Sowore has never resorted to violence in his struggle for a better Nigeria. However, no one has a monopoly of violence. The Nigeria Police Force and the State Security Service (SSS) must address this issue immediately.

Does this kidnapping have something to do with SOWORE being in Ekiti State? What happened to his officially assigned security detail? Ekiti State has a duty to protect SOWORE, despite any political differences.
