The apparent solution for women who don’t want to see men who claim to be women in women’s spaces is for us to go elsewhere.
Oh, is that so?
Basically, politicians are saying if you’re a woman who doesn’t want men who claim to be women in women only spaces, create new women only spaces.
But, um, that’s what I did.
I didn’t try to turn a previously woman-only (or even unisex) space into something strictly based off the accurate definition of woman. I created my own. Admittedly, I didn’t do it in response to this madness & it was a dark day when I realized that I had created a woman only space at the one time in human history when anyone is pretending they don’t know WTF a woman is… but I did create something, privately owned, that would be a place for woman to go if they wanted woman only.
And men who claim to be women, along with their political, judicial & bureaucratic friends, said… NO. Exactly what I’m (apparently) not allowed to say to men who claim to be women.
So don’t act like there is this wild world of choice for women who want woman only spaces. As someone very astutely once noted in a super viral X post, even if we created a special corner of hell exclusively for TERFs, men who claim to be women would want access to that too.

Idiopathic Hypersomnia & Exercise
Are you 18+, and live in Australia with a confirmed IH diagnosis?
This national survey explores how people with IH experience physical activity and exercise, an area that has been largely understudied.

The personal stories in this documentary are riveting. One person reverses her bipolar disorder on keto. Another reverses IBD. Yet they worry about elevated LDL-cholesterol on this diet. This film brings insight and investigation into this heart disease quandary.👍👍

This isn’t breaking news for those living with Idiopathic Hypersomnia.
But it is encouraging to see researchers acknowledge that awareness and appreciation of the full 24-hour nature of IH is lacking within the medical community.

If serotonin plays a crucial role in fetal development (which it does) & if SSRIs disrupt the serotonin system (which they do) then the SSRIs must alter fetal development - and the public should be warned.
This point was not disputed at yesterday's panel.

Antidepressants make you feel like you are going to lose control and possibly harm people close to you. They make you feel like you can not trust yourself. They put bad thoughts in your head, and this scares the people that take them. The doctor then tells them that these thoughts are because their brain chemistry is wrong, and that the pills will help, even though it's the pills that are causing it. So often doctors get cause and effect wrong. Thousands have stated this. It's time for change.

The most severe of clinical depressions requiring medical intervention was historically so rare... there would be no market for the drug companies. By elevating depression to the status of a "serious medical condition," marketers tapped into a potent cocktail of fear and self-doubt. Suddenly, those struggles we now label as a "depressive disorder" aren't just a natural response to life's challenges—it's a potential medical emergency. This framing achieved several key objectives:
1. It medicalized normal human emotions. Sadness, grief, and disappointment—once seen as inevitable parts of life—became symptoms of a disease requiring expert intervention.
2. It instilled a sense of urgency and fear. The word "serious" implied danger, suggesting that without prompt medical treatment, one's mental state could spiral into a life-threatening situation.
3. It undermined self-reliance and traditional support systems. If depression was a serious medical condition, then friends, family, or clergy were no longer qualified to help—only a medical professional would do.
4. It legitimized pharmaceutical intervention. Framing depression as a medical condition naturally led to the conclusion that it required a medical (i.e., pharmaceutical) solution.
5. It shifted the locus of control from the individual to external experts. People were encouraged to doubt their own judgment about their mental state and defer to medical authorities.

Here's the NYTimes with the "latest" from the American Heart Association (AHA)
Advising food > drugs is always a good idea, so that's good.
However, lowering LDL-C via diet has been shown in clinical trials to have little-to-no effect on longer-term 'hard outcomes' incl. cardiovascular events, cardiovascular mortality or total mortality. This fact has been found in ~2 dozen systematic reviews. So lowering LDL-C w/ diet is not effective for reducing the events that matter--heart attacks and death.
The Times then recommends the "Portfolio Diet," which seems to be a rebranding of the National Cholesterol Education Program diets along with some culling of clinical trials using the word "portfolio" to describe a selection of foods. The principal study to support the "Portfolio Diet" (published in an AHA journal cited by the Times is on data from Harvard's epidemiological studies, which can only show association, not a cause-and-effect relationship. And again, the outcome measured is LDL-C, which is not linked in diet trials to hard outcomes such as heart attacks and death.
To raise your "good" HDL-C, the Times again cites AHA advice, to exercise. Although a far more efficient way to raise your HDL-C is to eat saturated fat.
The pharma-and-food funded AHA has been giving out misguided (wrong) advice to the public on heart disease since 1961, when it told Americans to swap out saturated fats for seed oils (for decades prior, it had been funded by Procter & Gamble, maker of Crisco Oil--and when I last checked, it still was). The @nytimeswell might consider some critical reporting on this group.
