Ben, you’ve had life handed to you on a silver platter, and this comment comes across as completely out of touch with the realities of frontline shift work.
This doctor faces exhaustion, difficult decisions and the heartbreak of caring for people in crisis. Yet he answered your mockery with grace and an invitation to understand.
Take him up on it. Spend an ER shift alongside him. You might gain some perspective and a little compassion. If you disagree with his views, address his arguments instead of counting his tweets.

There are a few of us who have been sitting with an 80 year old gentleman who fell over at Apex Park, Burnham on Sea today at 1130am. He is laying on the concrete where he fell, he is cold and in agony. Broken leg/hip?? The ambulance has been rung 6 times, a police car has been flagged down by a member of public who showed concern and left again. All we know is there is unprecedented pressure locally, no ambulances available. He’s been lying here for SIX AND A HALF HOURS with no idea when an ambulance will arrive @burnham_on_sea @swasFT @Ashley7Fox

I asked the Health Minister about nurses and health care workers being laid off across Ontario.
She didn’t answer.
Throughout committee, she blamed the federal government, blamed the previous Liberal government from eight years ago, and avoided answering questions.
