🚨California Senate District 24 in Los Angeles is in danger of falling to the DSA in a very close election: ❌John Erickson supports the “People’s Budget LA,” which calls to defund LAPD & legalize all drugs ❌As West Hollywood City Councilman, Erickson oversaw a 137% crime spike & voted to cut police patrols ❌Erickson is aligned with Horvath, who just today endorsed Raman for LA Mayor ❌Erickson campaigned with Faiza Malik, the antizionist Marxist who lost to Traci Park in June ❌Erickson believes Israel is committing a “genocide” and opposes AB715, which protects Jewish kindergarteners from discrimination ❌Erickson is accused of violating the Levine Act and taking illegal campaign contributions ✅His opponent @GoldsmithB Brian Goldsmith supported Nathan Hochman for DA, supported Prop 36, and supports encampment bans. 🔴There are enough Republicans in the District to swing this race, either for Erickson by sitting it out, or for public safety by voting for Goldsmith. Heads up, Coastal Orange County: 🍊The contrast between the candidates running for Diane Dixon’s open Assembly seat in Orange County is stark when it comes to their views on Israel and American foreign policy: 🔵Across multiple post-10/7 BlueSky posts and podcast appearances, Democrat Chris Kluwe set out his beliefs: 🤥Kluwe falsely accused Israel of committing “genocide” on at least 6 occasions and accused the US of facilitating it; 🙀Kluwe advocated for vetoing all military aid to Israel “until they stop following Hitler’s playbook;” 🇵🇸Kluwe called Israel a “rogue state” with the “US not far behind” after an Israeli airstrike on a military target killed Hamas terrorists who also moonlighted as Al Jazeera “journalists” in Gaza 🚔Kluwe was arrested in 2025 for rushing the dais at a City Council meeting. Prior to the disturbance, his remarks at the meeting equated MAGA to Nazis. He lost his high school coaching job as a result of the arrest and, having nothing else to do, decided to run for office. 🪧He supported pro-Hamas protestor Mahmoud Khalil. ❌Kluwe is supported by antizionist orgs like the California Teachers Assn and the CA Working Families Party. ****** 🌗In contrast: 🔴Huntington Beach City Councilwoman and Republican candidate for this race, Gracey Van Der Mark, has a record of support for Israel & the Jewish community she serves. 🏃🏻‍♀️@DerGracey was recruited to run for office by Jewish leaders in her local community 🇮🇱Gracey, along with @TonyStrickland , co-sponsored a City Council resolution in support of Israel and condemning Hamas immediately after 10/7. It passed, but the Democrat Councilmembers refused to sign it. This happened at the same time as other cities across California considered ceasefire resolutions. 👯While Gracey served on City Council in 2025, Huntington Beach hosted an Israel delegation and entered a twin-city partnership with Ramat Gan in Israel. This happened around the same time as Irvine and Santa Ana considered twin-city partnership with Gaza City ✅Gracey is endorsed by the Jewish Civic Action Network. Additionally, her husband has Jewish heritage and the church they attend is a supporter of Israel. The 72nd Assembly District covers Newport Beach, Laguna Beach, Aliso Viejo, Lake Forest, Laguna Hills, Laguna Woods, and parts of Seal Beach and Huntington Beach. These cities are home to large Jewish and Christian Zionist voters who would be very interested to know these starkly contrasting records.
