A flight school in Minnesota, the Pan Am Academy, alerts the FBI that some students who took classes on immigrant visas have been asking “suspicious questions” about low-altitude, high-velocity flight.
One student, Zacarias Moussaoui, keeps asking how to fly a plane, but insists that he doesn’t need to know how to take off and land. Moussaoui is arrested.

Reminder that doctors were so outraged at their colleague for introducing the idea of *washing their hands* that they had him fired, hounded from the country, and eventually beaten to death in an insane asylum for his temerity.
There’s no gatekeeping. There’s literally no doctors who want to use this tech for themselves or their loved ones.
Here’s what’s going to happen. Normies will get this scan, and it will say things like “carcinoma cannot be ruled out,” and then they’ll badger their doctors for more CTs and MRIs, and they’ll say the same, and then they’ll get biopsies, all for something that turns out to be benign. Oh, and some of those biopsies will cause pneumothoraxes or perforated colons. What did you think “complications” meant? Vibes? Papers? Essays?
It’s fun to live in the Econ 101 world where evil rent-seekers are keeping you from your sci-fi tech. Unfortunately, that world is a fantasy, and there are good reasons why we don’t scan everything.

Sorry to be the downer because this is an impressive story in some senses.
But it is ~trivially easy to make a single mRNA vaccine. It's not hard.
I cure mice of various cancers with various therapeutics all the time. I've made mice lose more weight in a month than tirzepatide does in a year.
What is hard and expensive is proving its BOTH safe AND effective **in a randomized and controlled study in humans** while ALSO manufacturing it at clinical scale and grade.
I am happy for this man and his dog. It is impressive.
