Catastrophic floods have absolutely devastated Central Greece.
Zagora, Greece received 30 inches of rain in one day. That’s more rain than London typically sees in a year.

It’s pretty clear future generations will say this of us:
We f*cked up the planet.
We knew we were doing it. Although some of us pretended not to.
We could have stopped. We knew how to stop.
We chose not to, for the dumbest, laziest, greediest, most selfish reasons.

The more people that choose to walk, bike and take public transit to get around cities, the better cities work for EVERYONE, including DRIVERS. Anyone still claiming this is a “war on the car” doesn’t understand how cities work. HT @IBikeSafe for graphic.

Here’s a humble request for those of you out there with many followers who don’t usually hear this kind of message — please share this really important truth with your audience.
Cities that work for walking, biking & public transit work better for EVERYONE, INCLUDING DRIVERS.

Cruise lines brag about their waste handling and recycling programs. The reality is that 5,000+ people + a cruise ship generate a lot of waste. That waste is passed off to others. Pay attention next time your #Alaska #cruise stops in #Victoria.

Incredible footage from the Adams Complex Fires outside Kamloops, British Columbia.
#canada #wildfire
In the first video we see a “firenado” along the lake shore. The cool temperatures of the water combined with the convective heat of the fire created this incredible phenomenon.
The second video shows the fire activity durning the daytime. A fire camp of nearly 400 personnel had to be evacuated as the fire approached. Wild scenes.
Thanks for the subscriber that shared these 📷.
