They're both great so this isn't a knock on Caleb. But it's weird to me that Williams gets credit for his out-of-structure playmaking over Maye when Maye does it more often and better than arguably any QB in the NFL.

For the love of God, read your own tweet. You just started on these movies, so you didn’t know much about an indie filmmaker. That tracks. Yet you now that people who love these movies praise Cassavetes constantly in their Criterion Closet picks. SO WATCH A CASSAVETES MOVIE. Then watch another. And another.

OK, I'll bite. If John Cassavetes is so insanely influential and brilliant, why have I not heard about him until recently?
I've been on a side-quest with classic and esoteric movies, mostly through the Criterion collection. I've watched dozens of Criterion closet picks from filmmakers and actors I admire.
They pick Cassavetes films ALL THE TIME. Probably more than any other director except Scorsese. I haven't seen a single Cassavetes film. I don't think I've ever heard anyone talk about a Cassavetes film outside of those videos.
I'm not a slouch on film, I've got a pretty wide spread on what I've seen & what I appreciate. How has Cassavetes slipped through that net so completely for so long?

The white ppl in their 40s (the target age demo for the Superbowl) were listening to "Izzo" and "Dirt Off Ya Shoulders" at their proms, not "Welcome To The Jungle" or "Back In Black". Hope this helps.
I’m over it - three of the biggest ROCK bands have been actively performing this past year, AC/DC Guns N’ Roses, Metallica and more - any of those would be brilliant & if I’m not mistaken have never performed halftime. Maybe they’ve been asked by Jay Z’s company & said no? I can’t imagine that’s the case. @nfl @RocNationSports
