#SCPol: "South Carolina, I know we're tired of the ads, but Democrat Annie Andrews, she's just too dangerous, radical and weird. Andrews wants men to play girls in sports." The NRSC and Darline Graham are up with a new coordinated #SCSen ad featuring Tim Scott.

Republican @RepBrianFitz has cut a moderate brand for himself. He's both someone that Democrats are desperate to knock off (using his Ways and Means committee work as a liability for the GOP tax law) and someone they'd love to work with if he survives. @maconatkinson spent some time in Fitz's district, and he told her in September he believes in “bringing back the top bracket” for higher earners. Bob Harvie, the Dem running against him, might be the best shot they have to knock Fitz out. He's been elected county-wide in Bucks twice. READ MORE: news.bgov.com/bloomberg-gove…

Deep cut but there was a time Lindsey Graham advocated to raise the taxable income, among other solutions. Current cap is $184,500/yr -- a regressive tax where high earners pay a lower percentage of their income to support the system than lower earners. washingtonpost.com/archive/p…
Social Security solvency comes up in the South Carolina Senate debate. Annie Andrews (D) calls for lifting the payroll tax cap to add revenues. Darline Graham (R) doesn’t take a policy stance, but argues that Andrews’ calls for health care expansion would “jeopardize” SSec.

There will be no replacement pool put in place.” Via @brianstelter

This is a stunning ad from Maria Elvira Salazar, a south Florida House Republican. “Mr. President, some of your immigration enforcement efforts have gone too far. In July, 50% of the 50,000 people that were detained had no criminal record. Be careful what your advisers are telling you about immigration policy. “The same Hispanics who helped you get to the White House in 2024 feel betrayed today. You can be for immigration what Lincoln was for slavery and Reagan was for communism. I'm not talking about giving them amnesty. I'm talking about giving them a dignified life in this promised land.”
