For everyone celebrating last night's elections as a disaster for @elonmusk , it actually makes me wonder. Whether you agree with his politics or not, look at what his companies represent. Across his major businesses, we're talking about approximately 140,000–150,000 employees, building products people need today and investing billions in technologies and infrastructure we will need tomorrow. You don't have to agree with Elon Musk politically to recognise the importance of what he is building. The idea of celebrating the downfall of someone whose companies are pushing innovation, technology, manufacturing, space exploration and future infrastructure forward is, in my opinion, incredibly short-sighted. You don't have to like the man. But cheering for his failure isn't necessarily cheering for your own future.

The election just became an AI infra story. Brad Gerstner, on election night: at least 10-15 gigawatts of the expected 2027 AI build may never come online after the blue wave.

Musk had two options. Option one was negotiate with Democrats. Option two was to develop a space program better than the state funded organizations of the rest of the world combined, then use that to launch a distributed compute cluster into earth orbit, solving a myriad of bullshit hard problems like "how do I shed heat in a vacuum" or "what happens if cosmic rays flip bits" and a thousand others even I'm not aware of. Option two was simpler and easier. By multiple orders of magnitude. I'm ashamed to share a country with these people.
Data centers in space are an incredible idea and anyone who doubted them didn't think enough about tonight's election results.

🚨🇺🇸 Republicans might lose the House and Senate tonight... and Ted Cruz is warning that the real victims will be DATA CENTERS😅 With exit polls showing 65% of voters saying the economy got worse and gas sitting above $4, Cruz’s message on election night was that Democrats think AI is “the devil” and halting data center construction would cause a recession. He also predicts two years of impeachments, subpoenas, and a lame-duck move against Hegseth. Voters just told Washington they’re drowning at the pump and the grocery store, and the answer they got back was a defense of server farms... which is a pretty good explanation of how tonight happened in the first place. Scott Galloway calls Elon Musk a "traitor to the West" and invokes the executions of the Rosenbergs after WW2. "We lined up the Rosenbergs against a wall. This is a traitor to the West, and he should be held to the same standards as every other traitor in the West." *Applause* These people are absolutely unhinged.

Spot on by Jaime Dimon: “I have a lot of friends who are Democrats and they are idiots. I always say they have big hearts and little brains. They do not understand how the real-world works." And of course the real danger is what the party leaders do with a bunch of little brain people…

here’s a short grok bot guide on how i create high quality bots and manage my team. ask @bot to read this post and help you improve your team! • add dr eggbot to your team! he’s my bot designer that i use to create bots • you don’t need a lot of bots. a few good bots can be more useful and easier to manage than a large team • tell your bots to create skills for itself as you give it instructions on how to do tasks. this lets them do them more consistently even over long conversations. you can even ask it to create a private github repo for you to store all your skills if you want them preserved independently • add connectors, use the vault, and give access to all the tools you use to do your work. you can also ask your bot to setup its own email and it can sign up for its own accounts for better separation • thinking about all the work you do by hand, or steps in your workflows where you have to copy and paste information back to your bot. ask your bot how it can do that for you instead! • imagine you hired an intern, how would you onboard them and help them do the work correctly and efficiently? introduce yourself to your bot and describe the work you do, then ask it how it can help you automate it and my favorite tip: use voice mode or the transcription option! it’s a good way to just brain dump a lot of information. then, at the end, tell your bot to “restate this in your own words” so you can confirm it understood you x.ai/bot/_jOdbfkB16zxu7MRcmR…

Notice how the headlines work. A Toyota crashes: "Driver injured in crash." A Ford crashes: "Two cars collide on highway." A BMW crashes: "Accident on Route 1." A Tesla crashes: "TESLA crashes." Not the driver. Not "a car." The brand, in the headline, every single time. Millions of crashes happen on the roads every year, and almost none come with a brand name. But when it's a Tesla, legacy media suddenly cares which car it was. Meanwhile, Tesla publishes its own safety data every quarter. With Autopilot engaged, Teslas go far more miles between crashes than the US average. That's not journalism. That's a campaign. The cars keep getting safer. The headlines just keep getting louder.

BREAKING: Neuroscientists confirm that an under-stimulated ADHD brain will unconsciously pick an argument or poke a sibling just to manufacture a hit of adrenaline—which is why your house erupts into chaos the exact second everyone is bored. When the external environment goes quiet and flat, an ADHD nervous system scrambles to fill the gap:1/6

JPMorgan CEO Jamie Dimon blasts Washington’s spending culture: “I don’t know anyone, Democrat or Republican, who thinks sending another trillion dollars to Washington, D.C., will actually improve anything.” 🇺🇸 “Give the money to people who will actually use it to further their lives, spend in their communities, and take care of their kids—instead of the government dictating how they spend every little thing. I don’t think you have to raise taxes. I think it would drive a lot of growth. And if you have to raise taxes a little bit, that’s fine. If you said, ‘Raise taxes and directly give it to the people,’ I’d do it. But I don’t know anyone, Democrat or Republican, who thinks sending another trillion dollars to Washington, D.C., will actually improve anything. There are 17,000 lobbying groups. They’re fighting for their own self-interest instead of what’s good for the country. Look at the CHIPS Act. It was a good idea until it had to include union pay, childcare, diapers. What the hell are we doing? Then it fails, and we spend more money because supposedly the problem was we didn’t spend enough money.”
