We need someone in the áras that believes in Disability justice and has our backs especially as eugenicist policies and sentiment continue to grow.
Our open letter on why we're supporting @catherinegalway for President 📢

ALT Graphic image with a dark green background depicting what appear to be handmade placards traditionally used at protests. The overall feeling of the image is reminiscent of fonts and colours popular in the early 1900s. At the top of the image is cream text reading “Disabled People and Carers for Connolly”. There are two placards: the placard on the left is red and reads: “Our Open Letter To Voters” in cream text, the one on the right has a cream background with green text and reads: “Standing together for equity!”.

This is the second person in two weeks I've seen have their funding removed. This is why #TheExperiment on Ch4 failed - the dystopian nightmare for disabled people is already happening.
A 37-year-old man with a severe muscle-wasting disease has been trapped in a hospital for more than 13 months because of a dispute over his care.
Ravi Mehta has Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and used to receive NHS funding that allowed him to hire his own carers and to live at home.
Now that has been taken away from him, and he is threatened with being put in a care home.

feels like there's kind of an elephant in the room with this map but I can't quite put my finger on it

As the author of the only history book detailing over 100 years of disability rights in the UK, #TheExperiment was utterly baffling to watch. How little they touched on the fact that this rhetoric is still here, and that's WHY so many of the visitors still supported it.

The first diagnosis I was given was “likely MS”.
After a year they said it wasn’t MS but they didn’t know what “it” was.
It took another 7 years to get diagnosed.
Christina Applegate is going through what so many of us go through.
It’s not a relief.
It’s exhausting.

Okay, I'm breaking character here. This is not a satire post. My 2-year-old son is in a wheelchair that we can't fit into our car. We are not eligible to apply for a wheelchair accessible vehicle until he is three--and even then we would have to pay about £13,000 towards it (which we don't have).
The idea that disabled people get given free cars willy-nilly is bullshit. My son has to attend regular appointments at various locations. He has a team of specialists dedicated to helping him with an extremely rare neurological condition that means he needs around the clock supervision.
He can't even hold his own head up so a regular car seat is out of the question. He was using a baby seat, but he's outgrown that. It's really tough for us to get around because misinformation from pricks like Nigel influences public opinion. Does this seem right?

AirFanta 5Pro Officially Launched: Two Years in the Making, Fully Evolved
We are excited to announce the launch of our new air purifier, the AirFanta 5Pro, following two years of design and manufacturing.
The 5Pro has been redesigned based on the structure of the 3Pro, with improvements across the board: it looks better and is easier to install.
In terms of performance, the CADR remains outstanding. Measured in an AHAM-certified laboratory, the results are as follows:
PM2.5: 393 CFM
SMOKE: 379 CFM
DUST: 408 CFM
Pollen: >450 CFM
We are also applying for AHAM and ENERGY STAR certification.
In addition, the 5Pro now features a PM2.5 sensor and display, as well as an Auto mode. When disassembled, it can still fit into a 20-inch suitcase, making it easy to carry and store.
For purchase links and more information, please click the link below:
air-fanta.com/products/airfa…
It is currently available for purchase in the United States, Canada, Europe, the United Kingdom, Australia, and countries across East Asia and Southeast Asia.

1. Remember that any attempt to paint Long Covid as psychogenic in nature deliberately and completely incorrectly biologically decouples SARS-CoV-2 infection from Long Covid. In essence, this rhetoric shifts the causative factor for LC from the virus to the patient's mind.

Minister in charge of disability mentions how Government are making supports available to everyone except people with disabilities.
This is where we are at.
That’s some representation.
Unbelievable they @NormaFoleyTD1 on @morningireland listed the supports, emergency supports, that Government were making available as a reaction to the fuel protests yet she never mentions our calls for an emergency €400 payment.
Unbelievable.

I’ve been seeing white people and people who speak English as a first language asking if dysautonomias and MECFS only appear in white populations, which is nonsense
Engage with HIV/AIDS, long Ebola, long Dengue research for 10 minutes
Recall Long Covid is a global problem

RTE radio one now and how galling is it that TDs and Senators are being briefed in private on the scoliosis report and the families effected are once again kept in the dark.

I hate you motherfuckers, the Democratic Party aligned themselves with fascism and censorship to silence dissent of y’all’s actions in Gaza and are now shocked when it comes back to bite yall.
THIS IS WHAT THE PARTY WANTED DIPSHITS.

Yup, now that fascism descends the only people able to talk about it are those not a threat to it.

I’m thinking this morning about all the people I spoke to last year - including fellow leftists and Muslims - who were absolutely convinced, and tried to convince me, that Trump would be antiwar and isolationist compared to Biden and Harris.
In the past week alone he has attacked Nigeria and then Venezuela and also threatened to attack Iran (for the second time.)
Sigh.

going into 2026 I wanted to shout out a reminder of two incredible individuals we lost to severe MECFS in 2025
I know we lost many others but these two I (we) knew personally and I want their memory to remain strong.
