Standby for articles from @globepolitics and @globeandmail explaining why we should be glad we're nearing the 2008 housing bubble burst in the U.S.
3-2-1...
🇨🇦 CANADA’S HOUSING CRASH IS GETTING UNCOMFORTABLY CLOSE TO AMERICA’S 2008 BUST.
According to BMO:
🏠 Canadian home prices: DOWN 20.5% from their 2022 peak.
🇺🇸 U.S. housing crash of 2008: Prices fell approximately 26%.
That’s a gap of just 5.5 percentage points.
And here’s what makes Canada’s situation particularly painful.
Many homeowners who bought near the peak are now renewing mortgages at higher interest rates.
Their properties are worth less.
Their borrowing costs are higher.
And selling doesn’t necessarily mean escaping the debt.
CANADIANS WERE TOLD REAL ESTATE WAS THE SAFEST WAY TO BUILD WEALTH.
For some peak buyers, it has become a lesson in leverage.
The difference from 2008 America? Canada hasn’t experienced a comparable nationwide wave of mortgage defaults and bank failures.
But the price correction alone deserves serious attention.
A 20% HOUSING DECLINE ISN’T A SMALL CORRECTION WHEN YOUR DOWN PAYMENT WAS 20%.
🇨🇦 Canada’s housing market isn’t just testing home prices.
It’s testing household balance sheets.

Canadians are now living under the most corrupt, unethical government in Canadian history.
You feel it every time you buy groceries, fill your tank, or watch your country get handed off piece by piece.
They don't serve you. They serve themselves and their global friends.
Share it if you're done pretending otherwise.
Unfortunately, Canadians are stupid and will passively sit by while they do exactly that — change the definition of sovereignty to fit their narrative.
“Sovereignty is no longer the freedom to act alone, but the ability to act together.” Ursula von der Leyen, Montreal, 29 Oct 2026, addressing Canada’s possible transition to being an associate member of the EU.
Mark Carney has no mandate to redefine Canada’s sovereignty, and cause us to lose our independence. He must seek a mandate by way of referendum or general election.

Roumanie, Slovénie, Hongrie, Grèce et maintenant Pologne… Tout le monde voit la vraie nature de l’UE, qui est un projet totalitaire, mondialiste et antidémocratique.
Don’t tell @MarkJCarney and his lofty elbows cabal.
“It was like the death rattle of a doomed elite. … When Carney’s Canada finally unveils his “associate EU membership” next June, he will likely find that once again, history has outstripped him.” telegraph.co.uk/gift/006a4d1…

Plutôt que de promettre davantage de rigueur, on nous annonce que ça va continuer. Parce qu’à leurs yeux, tenter d’influencer l’opinion est manifestement plus important que d’informer. 🤷♂️
Wow! You should be demanding a refund from whichever daycare you attended to get your law degree.

Disgusting and horrifying beyond belief. If you like how our entire justice system from the courts down to the woke-infested senior police administrators operate, then just keep voting liberal.
Yes, Canadians who present themselves to a CBSA officer at a port of entry seeking to re-enter Canada, are "compelled" to subject themselves to warrantless searches of their person and/or personal goods.
But that's not self-incrimination by any measure. They have "voluntarily chosen" to present themselves knowing they can be searched without reasonable grounds. They are not compelled to show up at the border with self-incriminating evidence in tow.
You may or may not know that most provincial traffic acts create a statutory (legal) duty compelling people involved in traffic accidents to give the police a basic, general statement about what happened. They have no choice but to comply.
However, the very fact that the law compels them to give that statement, renders it and any self-incriminating evidence contained in it, inadmissible as evidence against them in any criminal proceedings. It's inadmissible because the person didn't "voluntarily" incriminate themself. Rather, they were coerced into providing the evidence under threat of legal penalty. They were denied their constitutional right to silence.
Likewise, if the law denied a suspect his right to silence and compelled him to tell investigators how he came to be shot, the police would never be able to use their admissions as evidence against him in any subsequent criminal proceedings. Moreover, any evidence they obtained as a result of information gleaned from that compelled statement, may well be deemed "fruit of the poisonous tree"—legalize for illegally obtained evidence, and would be equally inadmissible.
That's Canadian law. Like me, you may roundly disagree with it, but it's our legal system, warts and all.

About this EU–Canada “associate membership” idea…
Has anyone told the EU that Canada still has supply management, including dairy quotas the EU abolished 11 years ago?
