I WILL fight you over Versace F/W 2005.
2000s glamor in its purest form. Polished, aggressive, conceited.

Another overlooked collection I have a soft spot for is Versace F/W 2010. The biker elements, the metallic bodycon pieces, the sliced asymmetrical panels - all exuded speed and energy.
Vogue's Sarah Mower was not impressed.

I've always been skeptical of the worship around Raf Simons, but his work at Jil Sander remains seminal.
S/S 2012 remains the peak of his work there. He really captures the grace and clarity of minimalism in fashion.

PERSISTENT industry chatter that LVMH is indeed in talks with Hedi Slimane to replace both Ghesquière and Pharrell at Louis Vuitton - with menswear, womenswear, beauty and jewellery potentially consolidated under his creative direction.

Do y'all think the runway is still the best medium to showcase fashion?
Many brands still prefer presentations and lookbooks.

Just a reminder that pre-Tom Ford Haider Ackermann was just as immaculate and tasteful.

I find myself thinking about this collection a lot. Flirty 1980s confidence. Hannah MacGibbon's contribution to Chloe is not appreciated enough.

An oft overlooked Prada collection, but one of my personal favorites, is F/W 2010. It's so quintessentially Prada. The 60s/Hitchcock references remind me of the dangerous intellectual charm of the Prada woman.
The large bustlines required them to cast Victoria's Secret models.

Versace F/W 2006 is permanently ingrained into my psyche as one of the house's best bodies of work.

Sarah Burton has the expertise, the narrative, the industry's goodwill, and the clientele, to pull off a successful independent atelier.

Yeah it's not even close. Modern Mugler RTW is mostly just branding to help generate attention for their fragrances. It's not a serious fashion proposition and I doubt half of the collection will even go into production.

It's not so much that fashion "should" be made for a specific age range, but more that Blazy's work unnecessarily ages its wearer, including the models from the show. I think fashion should be ageless - able to complement the wearer at any age, rather than impose an age on them.
