I stopped my son from going to school today because he's on malaria medication and has been feeling weak, so I only sent his siblings to school.
When my daughter returned, she ran straight to her brother and started bringing books out of her schoolbag.
I asked, "Whose books are these?"
She said they were her brother's homework. Apparently, she had gone to meet his teacher to collect it for him.
Her brother immediately started shouting, "Who sent you? Who sent you? You will not let me rest!"
These two have been bickering, and I'm just here laughing.
Imagine being sick and your younger sister still bringing homework home for you. No rest, even on sick leave!
Oversabi sister! 😂😂

Can we normalize asking God to heal the parts of us that keep sabotaging the blessings we prayed for.

And when you are tired of being the strong one, may God send you people who know how to care for you, too.

21 years ago I named "Reddit" and everyone said it was a horrible name, but I insisted one day people would say "I read it on reddit" and used my CEO-privilege to overrule everyone + kept the name. Now the company twitter account (unbeknownst to them) is making the joke. Heh.

No more naps. 😭
All of a sudden there’s this thing called homework.
Your baby teeth are falling out and nobody seems concerned.
You’re learning that numbers have rules.
Adults keep asking you what you want to be when you grow up. Like, ma’am, I just got here.😭

The annual British tradition of sitting in a freezing house pretending you're not cold because you don't want to put the heating on has officially begun.

May I never be too busy to listen to my child explain something that makes absolutely no sense to me but means the whole world to them. 🥹

Can we admit yet that it's a bit weird how the internet immediately made up a story about how he was a vulnerable disabled man on a day out with his carers? Even though we knew absolutely nothing about him?

This is one of the most interesting Guinness World Records attempts that I have come to admire so much
Not because he spent 120 hours Sewings but the purpose behind his attempt
He dedicated 120 hours to sew school uniforms for underprivileged school children and if you ask me this was such a noble purpose behind an attempt.
He didn’t just sew to break a record, he touched lives while doing this
Congratulations to him

Candidates often complain that employers demand experience but won’t give them the opportunity to gain it.
Well, one of the easiest places to gain that experience is at your current job. Volunteer for tasks above your pay grade, take on some of your supervisor’s responsibilities. That’s how you gain experience at the next level.

One of the most expensive problems in Nigeria is our obsession with copying success instead of understanding it.
Honestly. I it’s one of the reasons so many talented people remain trapped in endless cycles of chasing the next big thing.
Look at LagosLife.
Shalom built something extraordinary, that went viral, and suddenly everyone is building a game. Developers who had no interest in gaming 2 weeks ago are now racing to launch their own versions.
Now.
Here’s what many people are missing 📌 the opportunity was never simply the game. It was the thinking, execution, timing, distribution and market insight behind it.
You can copy the idea in a weekend. You cannot copy the years of experience, product judgment and accumulated advantage that Shalom brought to the table to make the original work.
The saddest part is that you and your clones will get traction because the market is excited.
And that’s the tragedy. Brilliant people will spend the next 3 months chasing someone else’s opportunity, only to return to where they started.
Meanwhile, the smarter question is sitting right there:
1a. How can I apply what LagosLife has demonstrated to an industry I actually understand?
1b. Can I build on the ecosystem, partner, distribute, or solve a problem this moment has revealed?
Inspiration should expand your thinking, not replace it.
People who build enduring wealth aren’t necessarily the fastest to copy what is working. They’re the ones who understand why it works and figure out where their own advantage lies.
We need to do better. Too much talent goes to die in this dark valley of copyrism.
